Single Drop is a solo project of guitarist/composer Birkir Rafn Gíslason.
Birkir has now finish working on his first album with several musicians and it was released in june 2007.
The music is everything from fragile to powerful sounds.
Birkir (b. 31.march 1981 Reykjavik, Iceland) started playing guitar in various Rock bands until he began his studies for real in 1998. He began by taking private lessons with Kristjan Eldjarn and then he started his Rock/Jazz studies at FIH Music School where he studied among others with guitarist/composer Hilmar Jensson. He graduated in spring 2006 as a guitarist and a teacher. Birkir has worked various musicians, both in the field of Rock and Jazz Music. He was one of the composers of the soundtrack of the Estonian Short Film Another/Teine, working amongst composers such as Skuli Sverrisson and Eyvind Kang.
