Lila Rose is a Toronto born,/California based singer songwriter gone electro-acoustic. Her arrangements incorporate an eclectic range of sounds from simple live instrumentation, to electronic beats and production, often adding vocal layering using loops and affects to build expansive sonic experiences. Her lyrics are embedded with political, spiritual and emotional messages, ready to educate and inspire her audiences on many levels. Her voice is dynamic, unique and recognizable, harvesting qualities from a widely varying spectrum of tone and texture. "From swirling angelic sonic backdrops to grimmy dirt entrenched vocalization". Lila is a solo artist, yet often shares the stage with talented guest musicians along the way, adding flavor to her integrative performance. Being a multimedia creatrice herself, her presentation often incorporates dance, projections, performance art, poetry, and borrows elements of spoken word, a’capella, folk, hip hop, jazz, world beat, and vocal experimentation.

"Music has a way of easing its way into a persons' heart without their conscious recognition of it. It has a way of exploding its message deep into the crevices of one's spirit, heart and mind. Such is the power of art at large. It is for this reason that I find such strength in the creation and sharing of art, particularly when it is directed towards some greater message or meaning" -LR

Thanks again for adding me, Lila. I think Dark Cloud gives you a great opportunity to show what you can do vocally. I hope you'll visit my page to check out "Killing Time in Tokyonesia" and some of my other songs, though I fear you may find my material a bit too conventional. I'm hoping to release my first CD later this year. Keep up the good work and take care always.
