Najnowszy, szósty już album Sing Sing Penelope – This is the music - nagrany został w oktecie z gościnnym udziałem norweskiej gwiazdy jazzowej muzyki elektronicznej Pala Nyhusa – DJ Strangefruit - (Nils Petter Molvaer, Bugge Wesseltoft) specjalizującego się w nowatorskiej technice – Live Remix.

S I N G S I N G P E N E L O P E
The band established in Bydgoszcz/Poland in year 2001 by young musicians playing in important polish and european jazz, avant-garde and chamber contemporary projects. The band is connected to a legendary Club "BRAIN" from Bydgoszcz. Connecting theirs experience and musical background, they created a new and interesting modern electro-acoustic style and musical language. They released a debut album in 2005 . This album has been classified to 10 the best jazz/impro albums of 2005 by the Last.fm. It was classified close to The Vandermark 5 “The Color of Memory” and John Zorn`s Bar Kokhba Sextet “50th Birthday Celebration”. In 2006 the second album of Sing Sing Penelope - "Music for Umbrellas" was released and promoted all over the Europe. In 2008 the band recorded the third album – “We Remember Krzeselko”. It was a very mature presentation of modern jazz musical concept. This album started the European career of SSP. Sing Sing Penelope in 2009 has released a new, fourth album. It is a live CD, featuring - one of the greatest trumpet player all over the Europe - Andrzej Przybielski, who was recording with: Tomasz Stanko, Krzysztof Komeda, Czeslaw Niemen, SBB. Sing Sing Penelope has been classified by the biggest polish newspaper “Gazeta Wyborcza” to the most important new bands of 2006/7 in Poland next to: Leszek Mozdzer, Mikolaj Trzaska ,Oles Brothers, and Simple Acoustic Trio from Tomasz Stanko Quartet. All members of the group has succesfully taken part in important recordings, projects, festivals and concerts all over the Europe from Portugal to Ukraine and from Scotland,Norway to Greece,also in Japan, India, USA)
Sing Sing Penelope has been classified to 10 the best jazz/impro albums of 2005 by the London Radio Station Last.fm

New SSP album's soon... Called "This is the Music" has its premiere on 6.04.2012. Fifith album of Sing Sing Penelope & DJ Strangefruit is ready! .... The album..s premiere on 12.07.2010 .. ..It..s titled "Electrogride" and recorded with norwegian star Pal Nyhus (Nils Petter Molvaer, Bugge Wesseltoft) specialized in new improvised electronics. Album was recorded in april 2010 as a part of a project: "Electrogride – meeting of improvising musicians". .. ..This project originally was including concerts in Poland. Unfortunately after the Polish Air Force One crash in Smolensk, the tournee was cancelled and artist recorded the album „Electrogride". .. ..The whole Project including this album was sponsored and supported by a grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism. ..That is why the album is free and not for sale.
