Writing, reading, knitting (poorly), jabbering, being a know-it-all grammar Nazi, studying herbs and natural healing methods, informing the world that religions are just another form of mind control and fighting for her children's right to be free from religion in school, convincing her sister that soy is evil and the world in general that microwaves are not to be trusted
Music
In alphabetical order, as follows. This is not meant to be exclusive, but only as far as my memory stretches. Let's see how far I can go:
311, ABBA, Adam Ant, Aerosmith, Air Supply, Alan Parson's Project, Alice in Chains, Annie Lennox, Apoptygma Berzerk, Beck, Better Than Ezra (does he mean Pound, I wonder?), Billy Idol, Billy Joel, Brian McKnight, Bush, Bush, Bush (I love them so much they're worth mentioning three times), Butthole Surfers (almost accidentally pulled them off stage, whoops) Clannad (especially with Bono!), Christophe Beck, Cruxshadows, David Bowie, Dead Can Dance, Depeche Mode, Disturbed, Dorothy Dandridge, Duran Duran, Eddie Money, Ella Fitzgerald, Elton John, Fiona Apple, Foreigner, Garbage, George Michael, Green Day, Guns and Roses, Hall & Oates, Incubus, INXS, ICP (met them, very cool guys), Jet, Josh Groban, Journey, K's Choice, Kansas, Leonard Cohen (who's deep, salty sexiness should be enshrined somewhere as an example of what all men should sound like), Linkin Park, Lionel Richie, Live, Lords of Acid, Loreena McKennitt, Marilyn Manson, Mars Volta, Muse, NERD, Nick Cave, NIN, Nirvana, Oasis, Offspring, Pearl Jam, Phil Collins, Poe, Puddle of Mudd, Queen, Rammstein, REM, Rick Astley, Robert Plant, Sarah McLaughlin, Sarah Vaughan, Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden/Audioslave (whatever, it's Chris Cornell!), Stabbing Westward, Staind, Sting, Stone Temple Pilots, System of a Down, The Cure, The Darkness, The Killers, The Verve, Toadies (I miss them!), Tool, Tori Amos, Tracy Chapman, Type O Negative, U2, Verve Pipe, VNV Nation, Weezer, Whitesnake (you have to like Whitesnake), Wolfsheim, Wumpscut . . .
Movies
Most films piss me off because of extreme historical inaccuracies, however, I do enjoy Orlando (w/Tilda Swinton) very much despite that and many others. Films about stupid pirates and dumb girls who have never seen a corset before (even though they supposedly live in the 18th century) are banned completely. Not in the fandom of the Depp and especially not the Bloom. The Knightly may rot as well.
Television
CSI, Forensic Files, Cold Case Files, Nova, Food Network, Heroes, History Channel and History International. I do love anything with Eddie Izzard in it and I have a big soft spot for my friend Blackie (Blackadder). That's one of the reasons I love watching Worst Jobs in History and TimeTeam . . . Tony Robinson. :P My husband and I both enjoy most of this stuff, and share a love for Alton Brown and Nigella Lawson. We love to hear the science of Alton, and who doesn't just want to look at Nigella, eh?
Books
Harry Potter. Damn near anything by Alison Weir. I worship that woman. Currently reading anything I can grab by S.M. Stirling. Wonderful fantasy writer. It's practical fantasy, and I like practical. This is reaaaaally practical. Like you could pick up his book and go live in the woods with it and do okay.
Heroes
SuperMom - able to leap dirty dishes in a single bound, clean a house, do laundry, and not make her husband domestic goddess-in-training.
Who I'd like to meet: Prince William. Yes, stupid I know. Especially now that his looks are starting to recede into a sort of floppy earred dopeyness a la Prince Charles. Or a sharp earred dopeyness, however you like it.
Nigella Lawson so I can steal her body. That woman is lush!
actually. ive been walking around on that broken ankle for the past year thanks to the crazy quack doctor that i had. its broken in two places. i have to have physical therapy and probably surgery just to repair it ;/
