Mae’r debut 4 trac sengl gan Sinig wedi cael ei enwi yn ‘Fflam.’ Mae o’n cynnwys y gwaith o’r canwr Caernarfon o’r enw Dewi Hughes ac Chris Dunford yn chwarae’r gitar.
Mae Dewi ag Chris wedi bod yn gweithio efoi gilydd am yr 18 mis dwethaf ar ei caneuon, ac wedi cyrraedd uchafbwynt yn yr recordio o’r sengl yn stiwdio eglwys, yn yr tref Felinheli, gogledd Cymru, yn yr rhaf o 2007.
Teitl Y can cyntaf yw ‘Diwedd y Fflam’ wedi cael ei ysgrifennu gan Dewi ac yn cynnwys ei fywyd Cerddorol, mynd a’r gwrandawyr ar siwrne mae nhw ei hunnain wedi trafeilio ar llawer o weithiau, efo’r arweinydd gitar gan Chris, wedi cael ei canmoliaeth gan geiriau mewn caneuon Dewi.
Mae ‘Am Ddim’ wedi cael ei ysgrifennu gan Chris, ac eto yn cynnwys ei sgiliau ardderchog gitar, efo ei cynydd cord sydd yn taflu i berlewyg yr gwrandawyr. Rhywbeth mae Chris wedi cael ei nabod am yw ei deheuig defnydd o effeithiau ar yr amser gywir ac yn yr lle gywir, bob untro yn ymwybodol efo gweithio o gwmpas Dewi.
Efo tempo fwy isel mae’r can ‘Eli Haul’, wedi cael ei ysgrifennu gan Dewi, efo fath o ‘Beatles’ steil o ysgrifennu caneuon ac teimlad ynddo. Efo’i toriad offerynnol yn yr pennillion, wedyn cyfod Cerddorol i mewn i’r cytgan.
Mae’r trac dwythaf ar y CD ‘Deffra’ wedi eto cael ei ysgrifennu gan Dewi, heblaw ddim fetha yr tair caneuon cynt, cafodd ‘Deffra’ ei ysgrifennu yn ystod yr cynhyrchiad o’r traciau eraill. Be ddechreuodd fel can acwstic, wedyn newidiodd i fewn i can ardderchog ar ol cael ei orffen, methu mewn ddim ffordd bach cael ei cymharu efo’r rythm gitar ac sgrechunigol canol 8 gan Chris, cafodd ei recordio ond unwaith, mae hynnu faint o dda. Wedi cael ei ychwanegu i hynnu i gyd, llafar Dewi sydd yn gwneud gymaint o gwrioni i’r can, ac hefyd mae’r synnau gitar gan Chris.
Efo y sengl ‘fflam,’ mae sinig wedi dod efo abred radio ardderchog, pan wedyn ar ol cael ei wrando ar unwaith, gwneith aros yn cof yn yr gwrandawyr am amser hir, gwrandewch ar caneuon swynol gan Sinig ac fyddwch yn siwr i cytuno.
Fydd ‘Fflam’ ar gael yn phob siop records ac llyfrau o gwmpas Cymru o’r 5ed o Dachwedd 2007, ac yn medru cael ei downloadio o dosbarthwr americanaidd CD Baby.com, pwy sy’n cyflenwi itunes efo’i holl abrediadau ar yr Recordiau Menai.

The debut four track single from Sinig entitled ”Fflam”, features the work of Caernarfon singer / songwriter, Dewi Hughes and guitarist / songwriter Chris Dunford.
Dewi and Chris have been working together for the last eighteen months or so on the their songs, culminating in the recording of the single at Stiwdio Eglwys, in the tranquil village of Y Felinheli, North Wales, in the summer of 2007.
The title track “Ddiwed y Fflam” (The end of the flame) written by Dewi and featuring his lyrical take on life, takes the listener on a journey that they themselves have most probably travelled many times, with the heartfelt lead guitar breaks from Chris, perfectly complimenting Dewi’s lyrics.
“Am Ddim” (for free) was written by Chris, and again features his excellent guitar takes, with a chord progression that entrances the listener with its mandolin type effect.
Something that Chris has become known for is the deft use of his effects at the right time and in the right place, always conscious of how they work around Dewi’s, sometimes haunting vocals on this song.
A more downtempo song, “Eli Haul”, written by Dewi, has a kind of “Beatles” style of songwriting style and feel to it, with it’s minimal instrumentation in the verses, then a musical lift into the chorus complete with Dewi’s lyrical tones swirling around the backing vocals.
The final track on the CD, “Deffra”, (wake up), was again written by Dewi, although unlike the previous three songs, “Deffra” was actually written in the studio during the production of the other tracks.
What started out as an Acoustic song, soon developed into the excellent finished song here, due in no small way to the brilliant rhythm guitar parts and screaming middle eight lead solo from Chris.
Add to all that, Dewi’s inspirational vocals that give as much excitement factor to the song, as do the wailing guitars of Mr. Dunford.
This track will definitely have you nodding your head to the rocking beats and playing air guitar when Chris lets rip.
With “Fflam”, Sinig have come up with an amazing radio friendly release, which once listened to, will stay inside the listener’s head for quite a while, have a listen to some really nice songs by Sinig and you’ll be sure to agree.
“Fflam” will be available in all good record and book stores throughout Wales from the 5th November 2007, along with physical and download sales from our American distributor, CD Baby.com, who supply itunes with all of the releases on the Recordiau Menai Record label.
