Sinkcharmer began in North Carolina way back in the nineties, when the world was less innocent (or perhaps prudish is the word I'm looking for). Since then Sinkcharmer has migrated to the Adirondack mountains via Boston. Along the way lots of folks contributed and many songs were made.
Sometime this summer, there'll be a new record full of songs about fixing tractors, the devil, and um, the devil. Devil Devil Devil.
We used to play live, but now it's less likely...though not completely ruled out. Given the right mix of circumstances, it could happen again.

I knew nothing of the fate of the American Chestnut until you came along, and once I did the research, I felt shock, ignorance, and loss. Funny how that happens.
We have just added several new song ideas and revamped our profile look. We should have more new songs up in the next couple of days, as well as new material on Thus The Tensilemen, Kittychan, and Patriarchal Sounds. We are gonna be playing our sounds again on July 21st up some canyon in Logan. We are going to miss out on seeing Built To Spill playing that night so you know its got to be fun. Bring a tent and some songs to sing.
