Sinkhole Productions is an Independent Production and Recording Company located in Cypress, Texas. Owned and operated by professional musicians, Sinkhole Studio offers Recording/Mastering, Production, Booking, Promotional Graphic Design and Web-Design Services to bands in the Texas area. Sinkhole Productions provides quite possibly the most affordable solution for the Independent Artist in search of a studio capable of recording/producing a Professional Demo, EP, or LP. Sinkhole Productions also offers promotional services such as Press Kits, Flyers, Web-design, Booking, etc.
In an effort to help local artists and enliven the Houston area music scene, Sinkhole Productions also periodically hosts concert showcases and other related events at different venues in Houston and its surrounding areas. Look for the Caustic Concert Series at premier venues in Houston, Austin, San Antonio and the Dallas/Fort Worth area. This is a great place to witness some of the finest independent artists and bands with performances by three or four bands per show.
Sinkhole Studio is equipped with the latest version of Pro Tools with a 32 Track, 24-bit/96kHz fidelity Digital Recording System with the ability to convey up to 36 streams of audio, record up to 16 separate live tracks simultaneously, control surface data, and MIDI data; with two sets of the 2-way Event Tuned Reference Biamplified Monitoring System. In addition to the wide array of professional quality effects from Pro Tools, Sinkhole Studio also has a great selection of digital and analog effects on site to help you get the unique sound you and/or your band desire. Should the need arise, the studio is packed full of guitars, basses, an acoustic drum kit, a digital drum kit, drum and rhythm machines, keyboards, a synthesizer/vocoder, guitar amplifiers, bass amplifiers, and a PA for rehearsal.
Sinkhole Studio is a 13' X 25' room with sound diffusion by Auralex Acoustics with two insulated Isolation Booths equipped with high quality Condenser Microphones for clean, high resonance recordings of vocals, acoustic instruments, etc. EV, Shure, AKG, MXL, CAD and Octova microphones are provided for additional vocals, drums, instruments and amplifiers. We also utilize a five-panel Plexi-glass drum shield / baffle and we have a very extensive list of equipment and instruments, call for additional details.

Sinkhole Studio is a great value and the engineers are very friendly, going that extra mile to help us put special effects in the song that aren't really heard until that 3rd or 4th listen. Check out our music, it speaks for itself. Beyond that, I will never forget my first Wii experience between sessions. They are a blast to work and play with! Alkari has had an amazing time recording so far. The engineers are friendly, accommodating and helpful in getting the sound we want. On a short break from recording we played on the wii, which was almost as fun as recording! Along with all of this, their rates are hard to beat.
