MUSIC is the voice of the soul. SINKING IN is
the interpreter. Driven by a passion for writing
and performing music, Sinking In is a collaboration
of talented musicians and singers whose musical
influences span multiple genres and decades.
Combine that passion with a ridiculous amount of
personal struggles, triumphs and tragedies, and you
have an instrument to liberate the voice of the soul.
Energetic, fun, entertaining, true to the record live
performances showcase the love and respect each
member has for music. Unafraid to sing up to
four-part harmony, even accapella at times, the live
vocals are impressive enough to stand on their own
and are compared to artists such as Queen occasionally.
The musicianship is unequaled and well thought out to
complement/contrast the vocals and the changing
moods songs.
Collectively/individually Sinking In continually writes
and records for other musicians as well. Artists such as:
-Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler
-Motley Crue’s John Corabi
-Sebastian Bach of Skid Row
-Stephen Percy of Ratt
-Jani Lane of Warrant
-Leif Garret…
-Doug Pinnick of Kings X - and dozens of others.
The song “Soldier” from Sinking Ins’ freshman release
“Vengeance is Mine” has been licensed and re-sung by
Mark Slaughter (Slaughter/Vinnie Vincent Invasion) and
Kelly Keagy (Night Ranger) for a compilation CD.
“The music is modern yet accessible.” KK.
Sinking In understands the relevance of image/labeling/branding
and does not shy away from comprehensive marketing
strategies. Such things are embraced as part of the creative
outlet that popular music brings.
The sophomore effort is underway. Tentatively titled
“Life is But a Dream”. Treading the line between the
marketable songwriting of Nickelback and the musical
integrity of Tool, this record will bring some listeners to
tears. Nothing is being held back as the lyrics/music
take shape. The past year has been incredibly tragic for
some of the band members of Sinking In and the healing
process of songwriting is producing a record with more
feeling than can commonly be felt. Showing promise
of memorable, first listen hooks, with an enigmatic depth
to make you listen again and again. Strong melodic
sensibilities over dramatic groove-laden rhythms provide
the foundation for the challengingly honest lyrics that go
beyond the obvious.
Sinking In seeks to identify with the listener by capturing
life-changing moments in time, daily feelings, or deeply
shallow thoughts/emotions, and fusing them with mood
altering music. In short, creating a bond with the listener
that can be felt. This is the power of the song to speak
from soul to soul.
