It was summer of -99, Jyrki Witch (also known as a mainman of the legendary Finnish gothic act Two Witches) found an idea of a new band, the band with a format of mixing two scenes, rock music & fetish culture.
The first victim was Jan "Örkki" Yrlund, Jyrki's friend since late 80's. Jan has a lot of name in metal and gothic circles, because of his works with wellknown bands like Lacrimosa, Ancient Rites, Danse Macabre, Prestige, Imperia, Satyrian, BoobyTrap and Two Witches.
Jan and Jyrki booked the Happy Road studio (Tampere, Finland) for two days and the result was two songs, "Naughty (...again)" and "Hungry For Sin".
A few months later the crew became a threesome, when Timo "Timv" Väänänen (Shade Factory, ex-Two Witches, ex-Neuroactive) joined SinMasters. In his homestudio, Jyrki and Timo recorded the next song "Seducer". For this studiosession they also found Toby (ex- Two Witches, ex- Love Like Blood) guesting for some guitar tracks.
All of these mentioned songs found the way to several compilation records in Finland.
"The hit"
It was a time for SinMasters' first release, a maxiCD "Seducer". Timo has his own label Actcom Music, where Jyrki was also working as a promotional manager. The choice was easy, Actcom Music released the record at autumn 2000.
The title song went straight to the top of the Finnish Industrial/Gothic Chart (gathered by Finnish DJs/ journalists) and kept the position for ten weeks early 2001. And a "project" became the "band".
Marko "Gravehill" Hautamäki (Majesty, Two Witches, ex-Shade Factory) and Martin Kasprzak (Sepulcrum Mentis, The Titty Twisters) joined in, the first promotional photosession were taken and the guys went again to the studio. The second maxiCD "Crashing Down" saw the daylight early summer of 2001. It included two versions of the title (written by Jan, Jyrki, Karina and Timv) and another song "Peeping Tom" (by Jyrki and Martin). This one also came out via Actcom Music.
Because of some reasons, like the truth that nearly everyone lived far away of each others (Jan in Amsterdam, Karina in Australia, Jyrki, Marko & Martin in Berlin and Timv & Toby in Finland) a little by little the whole thing went down.
At the end of 2002, a Russian label CD-Maximum released 7-song minialbum called "Seduced". It included all the songs of "Seducer" and "Crashing Down" maxis but no bonuses. It was the end of SinMasters vol.1...
The second coming
Jyrki didn't forget the idea, but he wanted to make it a bit different way. One of the problems of the first version was the fact that many fans thought it was just a side-project of Two Witches.
This time Jyrki didn't ask any of the current Two Witches-members to join the band, but only the original SinMasters' fellows Jan and Timv.
innocence.lost
The second SinMasters album “innocence.lost” was released via CDC Finland at early May 2007 with more danceable EBM/industrial influences but still with the same themes.
First gig took it's place at Lumous Gothic Festival with Suicidal Romance and Das Ich at Klubi, Tampere, 30.6. 2007. Three became five when two sexy femme fatales, Zynthexia and Rodionoff, joined the group with their live performance. Two months later the band supported Two Witches, Doppelgänger and Silene at Klubi, Tampere.
2008 SinMasters played in Beats From The Vault Club (Tallinn, Estonia) and again in their hometown. 2009 the band did a minitour in Finland, Ireland and Latvia.
Just a few days before the concert for Tampere Fetish Factory, SinMasters line-up was changed to Jyrki Witch, TimV, Jan, Zynthexia and Sofia Haze.
