I'm doing a local music show in two weeks and I want to play most of them!!! Below is information about an upcoming charity event for Newport City Radio, your local radio station. The station is run as part of the charity Urban Circle and is manned by volunteers from in and around Newport and is YOUR!!!!! station. The station is currently testing FM broadcast throughout February on 87.9FM and if it's successful and supported by the people of Newport it is very likely that it will get a 5 year FM license. That will mean you will have a dedicated radio station for local music and chat, local news, advertising for local businesses (that can reach the whole of Newport and the surrounding area) and special broadcasts from local events and entertainment venues.
