Every time vocalist Telf informs his audience We're are Siouxnation ... and this is Rock n Roll everyone present has a pretty clear idea where this musical journey is about to lead. For fifteen years, Siouxnation have been synonymous with hand-made rock music, spiced with edgy riffs, driving rhythms and their frontmans unique voice.
Siouxnation have never felt the need to emulate their supposed idols; their originality, their charisma and their unequivocal Rock n Roll slogans have guaranteed the band some success on the live circuit.
Having got together in 1993, Siouxnation were soon thrilling live audiences with their live shows and consolidating their fan community which continued to grow with every gig. By mid 1993 the aptly named Lean into it Album hit the street with some rave reviews (This band IS Rock N Roll) Their stage set resembled an downtown ghetto, their songs were about the most tempting of all vices namely Sex Drugs And Rock N Roll.
By the mid Nineties, Siouxnation were enlisted to play as opening act for Skin at Rock City in Nottingham and performed at there biggest event in the Tivoli. Only a few months later, the boys where back in the studio to record the aptly named Obsessive behaviour album, an impressive stage follow up immortalising those first successful concerts.
In 1997, the musicians ensconced themselves in the Manchester and Wales studio’s to cut their third studio recording, a self titled album. This would lead to a heavy tour of southern England and Wales where the audience’s were not there anymore, the arrival of grunge had thoroughly influenced the majority of the scene. In other words, there wasnt much more to be said on the subject of Siouxnation and their 1998 The Demo Sessions was released and gave the impression of a posthumous obituary. There was still the odd show, but life as a real band appeared to be a thing of the past for the time being.
For Six long years, between 1998 and 2004, not much was heard from the band.
Then all of a sudden it was in 2004 that the band returned to the stage to the delight of their many faithful. A new line up or to be exact a new drummer entered the band and a new Studio album planned, not long after that the bass player left and was replaced with dragster, Siouxnation then decided to release a Live album, even though this was the first in there career it was to give the fans a chance to listen and own some of the bands new material.
