Blending hip-hop, R&B and dance music with classic funk, rock, soul and more, Sire’s energetic style and unique selection are second to none. A mainstay at a number of South Florida hotspots, he has performed at numerous venues including The Forge, Seminole Hard Rock Casino, White Room, Heathrow, Purdy Lounge & Jazid, as well as opening up for renowned artists such as Busta Rhymes, De La Soul and King Britt. .. .. Born in London, Sire was exposed to early hip-hop, rock, house, reggae, soul and his father’s record collection, before migrating with his family to South Florida in his early teens. Intrigued by the scratching of Jam Master Jay & DJ Premier, and the party rocking of Kid Capri & Funkmaster Flex, Sire began creating pause tapes and custom mixes for classmates while saving up to buy his first set of turntables, and beginning to grow his diverse record collection. .. .. Attending the University of Florida in Gainesville, Sire built a reputation for his unique mixing style, taking up residency at major clubs, as well as working at the city’s 1 urban radio station, Magic 101.3, all while earning his business degree and doing freelance music journalism work for local papers and magazines around the country including Elemental, Mass Appeal & the Miami New Times. He also began placing in DJ battles from Breaklanta to Kool Mixx, doing production work and playing gigs in Holland, London and New York City. After a stint in artist development at Sony Music in New York, Sire returned to South Florida, prepared to break on to the music scene. .. .. His mixtapes, Fuggetaboutit Vol.1&2, have received high praise and features in the Miami New Times and Elemental Magazine, and he is also a DJ/host on the internet radio show, State of Emergency on www.SayUncleInc.com. .. ..
