Theology, philosophy, comics (Usagi Yojimbo, Superman/Batman, Spy Boy, Spider-man, Daughters of the Dragon, G-Force, Shi), role-playing games (D&D, Mutants and Masterminds, Star Wars, d20 Modern, d20 Future), anime (Full Metal Panic, Cowboy Bebop, Tenjho Tenge), space opera/fantasy movies (Star Wars, Firefly/Serenity, Lord of the Rings, Big Trouble in Little China, Fifth Element).
Music
Harry Connick, Jr., Counting Crows, Tracy Chapman, James Blunt, Ben Folds, Mercy Me, Nicole C. Mullen, Retrospect, Chris Rice, Jeremy Camp, Michael W. Smith, Michael Buble, Pink Floyd, John Mayer, Davy Sillane.
Movies
Lord of the Rings (the Two Towers was my favorite), Star Wars (Return of the Jedi is still the coolest), Cowboy Bebop, Mystery Men, Fifth Element, Pirates of the Caribbean, Sky High, Serenity, Big Trouble in Little China, the Maltese Falcon, Key Largo. I love movies, and I'm sure there are lots I didn't mention. The Rocky Horror Picture Show isn't really on my list of favorites, but it has alot of sentimental attachment.
Television
My favorite shows aren't on the air anymore: Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Alias, the Tick, Dungeons and Dragons (the old cartoon from the early 80s), and Band of Brothers. I like Heroes, but they're getting ready for the final five episodes. I don't get alot of TV time, so mostly I watch older shows on DVD. I really like anime, I just wish it was easier to find a complete series.
Books
Non-Fiction: The Bible, Blue Like Jazz, Organic Church, Unsterstanding Comics, Comics and Sequential Art;
Fiction: The Hobbit, Dragonlance Chronicles, Starship Troopers;
Comics: Shi, Spy Boy, Elf Quest, and Usagi Yojimbo are my all time favorites. I used to love X-Men and Spider-man, but X-Men has become taxing, and Spider-man, while it's still a good read, I'm not overjoyed with the direction it's taken of late. Right now I'm picking up Daughters of the Dragon (which is alot of fun, but its still a pretty new book), Wildsiderz (great art, a bit weak on dialogue), Wolverine, Wildcats (loved the old stuff, and the new stuff is good so far), and Superman/Batman (very hit and miss). I've got the New Avengers and the Freshmen on my pull, but I haven't read them yet.
Heroes
Jesus, the Apostle Paul, Jack Kirby, Stan Lee, Joss Wedon, Jim Lee, Joe Mad, Jim Henson, George Lucas, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Sir Francis Drake, my Wife, my Papaw, and my Dad.

I'm married to a fabulous and amazingly creative writer. We have four fun and crazy boys. I was a youth minister for six years, but I'm currently on a sort of extended sabbatical (if there is such a thing). I work for Starbucks (mostly for the free coffee, but also because its alot of fun). I'm working on publishing a super-teen fantasy comic book. I live outside of Kansas City.

The Magician is free and full of energety. Magicians like to entertain. They like to change things. They seem driven by some invisible force. Things that never change quickly become boring to them, as they live fast-paced lives. They are very creative and able; many successful people are Magicians. Magicians, as the name implies, are often very talented and capable of performing feats that seem impossible. Although they are very artistic, they aren't usually introspective or philosophical. Magicians prefer to live in the minute. Although they really like people and even devote a portion of themselves to the world, they need their space. You can't corner a magician. He'll disappear in a puff of smoke.
The Magician's complement is the kind and generous King.
Your ideas are very strange, and people often wonder what planet you're from.
And while you may have some problems being "normal," you'll have no problems writing sci-fi.
Whether it's epic films, important novels, or vivid comics...
Your own little universe could leave an important mark on the world!
Who I'd like to meet: Well, I've already met Jesus, so that leaves Gary Gygax, Jim Lee, Scott Lobdel, Brian Froud, Stan Lee, Joss Wedon, George Lucas, faeries, and friendly aliens.
