Many bands, periods, styles and of course, our beautiful Montreal! To name a few: Beatles, Radiohead, Beach Boys, U2, Oasis, Jeff Buckley, Blur, The Thrills, BRMC, Franz Ferdinand, Doves, Sam Roberts, Coldplay, David Bowie, The Band, Clapton, Interpol, Arcade Fire, Muse, Neko Case, etc... Whatever will interest you... Sure, Cyndi Lauper... No, not BeeGees.
Sounds Like
We sound like your favorite milkshake in the blender. Sire endorses 1% milk, a serving of vanilla yogurt, a banana one day past its prime, two spoonfuls of chocolate milk powder and to round it all out, two spoons of peanut butter. What that means in aural terms is still unclear.

I
n this bio, there are actually two things to introduce. First, is our five-piece band, and second is our seven-song EP.
The band is made up of Dan, Ilan, Nick, Oli and Paul. You're probably thinking "Great, four generic names and a wierd one... who cares?" Our response is that it would be even more generic to tell you that our sound is made with guitars, keys, bass, drums and some throats. Ideally, we would find a way to describe how we sound together. We could tell you who influenced us and who some people say we sound like, hoping that out of all those mostly British bands one will make you say "Wicked... I love them too". At most, that would make you want to pop in that band's best album. That's not what we're going for here. We could also try and describe our songs with some adjectives (but not superlatives) that are floating all over band bios the world over, but that would not even make you play good music. We figure that if a picture is worth a thousand words, a song must be worth a million. I've so far written about a hundred, which doens't even get you to the end of the first strum on the acoustic guitar that opens Say Something, and consequently opens our EP, Calling for Echoes.
With seven songs on our just released EP, I invite you to listen to it. We're in the midst of playing some shows in and around our hometown of Montreal, saying "Just giv'r" as we start and "Woah... That was fun" right after. We're doing all this because it is a great pleasure to be in a band and play music. We want others to be there for the "giv'r" part and tell their friends about us. We also want them to buy our independently released EP, Calling for Echoes, and some do after the show. "Selling them? Sire is selling Calling for Echoes? Where can I get one?" you say?
