Kundalini Yoga and Meditation in Long Beach!
Shapeshifter is offering weekly Kundalini Yoga and Meditation Classes
Every Saturday and Thursday morning, certified Kundalini Yoga Instructor Chrissy Cox (Shapeshifter of Sirena Serpentina) will lead you in discovering your truest potential through kundalini yoga. Kundalini Yoga uses movement, sound current, breath and meditation to relax and heal your mind and body, allowing the spirit to flow freely. This powerful and effective form of Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, Ph.D., Master of Kundalini Yoga, is a great way to recharge and heal your body quickly. Incorporating the practice of Kundalini Yoga into your daily life is the greatest gift you can give yourself. POI BASICS:
Each class will begin with a yoga warm up and move into beginning poi drills that focus on precision and coordination. We will learn beginning level poi moves, turns and transitions through an exploration of timing, planes, and direction. These classes are a great way to build a solid foundation of poi spinning.
Hoopdance Beginning Level 1 & 2:
Each class begins with a yoga warm up to wake the entire body. In Beginning Level 1 you will learn the basics of Hoopdance- How to hoop on the waist, hips, and move the hoop on and off the body in a beautiful spiral. In Beginning Level 2 we will continue to build a foundation for hoopdance– How to keep the hoop spinning on your chest, shoulders and thighs, and how to change the angle of you hoop while spinning. Perfect for Beginning Hoopers.

CLASS TIMES: POI - 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. HOOPDANCE - 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Cost: $15/class
Dancing enhances our lives in many ways. It helps us become aware of our bodies while we tone and shape our muscles. It improves our coordination and flexibility. It reduces stress and helps us create balance in our lives. For me, the most important aspect of this dance is that it roots us in the earth and its elements, and brings people together in a communal celebration of life.
