Poi and Hoopdance classes in Long Beach
.. Each class begins with a yoga warm up to wake the entire body. These workshops will explore innovative poi technique and theory that will take your poi spinning to the next level. Please see our latest blog for a full class description
.. Each class will begin with a yoga warm up and move into beginning poi drills that focus on precision and coordination. We will learn beginning level poi moves, turns and transitions through an exploration of timing, planes, and direction. These classes are a great way to build a solid foundation of poi spinning.
Hoopdance Beginning Level 1 & 2:
.. Each class begins with a yoga warm up to wake the entire body. In Beginning Level 1 you will learn the basics of Hoopdance- How to hoop on the waist, hips, and move the hoop on and off the body in a beautiful spiral. In Beginning Level 2 we will continue to build a foundation for hoopdance– How to keep the hoop spinning on your chest, shoulders and thighs, and how to change the angle of you hoop while spinning. Perfect for Beginning Hoopers.
