New Siren Ep out now on Muti Music
“Urban and epic, blurring the lines between Dubstep and midtempo Breakbeats in a very satisfying way”-Muti Music SF
"Live drums, heavy synths, groove and energy are the foundation that Brandan Hale AKA Siren builds on. Hailing from Oregon and now settled in San Francisco, Siren is another new west coast find that has been making his distinctive mark on midtempo breakbeats and dubstep.
With a background of metal influences and playing piano, saxaphone, drums in punk, ska and metal bands, Siren brings both melody and unforgiving edge to his productions. Already making headway with touring the ‘bass’ scenes of the US west, ‘Spawn’ is clearly the first of many releases to come.
Expect bass that hits you in the gut, raw and pounding lead riffs and some epic instrumental accompaniments, truly made for ‘large’ environments or the most urban of basements."-MUTI MUSIC

Sounds Like
A mixture of everything that has come to define the Siren Sound, pure energy, and a true love for music and the human experience with it. London Grime/Dubstep, West Coast Mid tempo, Miami Booty, Classical, metal, and anything else that carries the weight and touch to caress the subs and tweeters. Low freakuency juices caressing a mid range carnival, little bits of everything I'm influenced by musically, which certainly isn't just electronic music. I come from a background of metal, and grew up as a classically trained musician so there is definitely that energy oozing throughout the beats, especially within the synths and basslines, which sound more like distorted guitars. My music resonates with hope and positivity, however heavy it may get, and I like to think of each song as an extension of myself, so in some way they all sound different while remaining a part of me.

I grew up in Oregon, up in woods, in kind of a small town...Started out playing piano(duh) and saxaphone in a punk/ska/swing band at around 12. Music was always, since a little kid, the natural vibration of the world around me. Around 15 I got really into metal(again), Metallica, Pantera, Cannibal Corpse, and a lot of the black metal bands found up in Finland, Norway, and Sweden. Most of these bands had a really symphonic element to them, if not the electronic elements being the forefront of the music and sound. I started remixing some of out metal songs, puttings strings and weird sounds over the music and it all was so fucking fascinating. That kind of led me to where I am now, living in the bay area, makin music that I think is super influenced by that time and that atmosphere. Live drums, heavy synths, groove, and energy are what I find to be the most fun to make, and the best way to get myself across. Now it's all about playing my music out live, which has come to be soooooo much fun. There is nothing like rocking a crowd with your own music, and the music you love...hope to see you all at a Siren show, headbanging as hard as me!
Hey bruv! So just got to santa cruz for a short visit. Be here till monday. A friend and i are hoping to catch a show in the bay area before we head back to oregon. Know of any shows going on this weekend? Since Simbiosis is this weekend seems like everyone is at that. But yeah let me know if you can let me know of any shows going on or a good website to check out . Thanks bro. Peace.
What up Siren, how you been? were all good up here but we need more dubstep djs. this place has great potential (for a small town) but not enough of us have the same goal. Anyways, I was wondering if you still needed me to send you pictures of that party or if you got them off my space? Hit me up , let me know how things have been and if you need those pics. Talk to you later hommie.
