Sirens formed in the Summer of 2008. Picking up where Anxious Arms (2005-2009) left off, they formulated their own sound, and used the name and it was an easy transition. They recorded their newest EP, "Home Is Where The Heart Is" in the Fall/Winter of 2008 at Normandy Studios with producer Jake Valentine, and mastered it at West West Side Studios with Alan Douchess.
Between the writing and recording process, they still found time to do weekend tours and play shows right at home on Long Island. They started to thrive, and their name was being spoken of more and more. They opened up for bands such as Yearling [Tragic Hero Records], The Dangerous Summer [Hopeless Records], and Anarbor [Hopeless Records]. The EP was released in July of 2009, and they followed it up with a New England tour, featuring Half Hearted Hero [Farewell Party Records] and Sunday Night Scene [Chamberlain Records].
When they returned home, they decided to part with their singer guitarist, Elliott, and with that, they left the name Anxious Arms behind as well. A.J. then became the fronting member, and they picked up Henry Weber for Lead Guitar. With Ryan Sweeney and Michael Magnetico being the backbone to the band, they're ready for action, and will be releasing more material, and new merch in the coming months.
