Sounds Like
Our music is similar to the smell of putrid rotten thought fluid squeezed through a pore near the heart with some effort and pain. But as you let it sit in the sun it will gestate into a refreshingly fragrant essence that will warm your room.
Once, upon a distant time, in the middle of project blocked sunshine, upon tenement terrain, laid the idea to dare pull art from out of the air. The burnt down Bronx wasn’t going to be it’s only claim to fame. Power from the streetlight- to see the top swipe in the night- ignited the mindset, wet with the fuel to design the same concept in a name, watch it run Boroughs to the beat of how the deejay spun the beat back deep on the beat part of the track, electrifying the boogie, keeping the people rocking. And somebody screamed "party", "and it don’t stop", "keep on keeping on", till the Microphone fiended for the flow...
...muMs is the feeling the fingers got as the mic was grabbed for the first time.
but alas it and he are gone.
Gone to a realer place,
Understanding what the microphone is connected to,
Realigning a grid to be affected through
Tied to quarters
And seasons
And minutes and seconds
And reasons for borders
And diseases and weapons.
He is appearing nightly at a dark utopia
Tending to his laughter with disgust.
As is his mirror.
His search for a reason is justification
Just to make it make sense,
Divert the consequence.
He’s gone realer.
Don’t snitch. Don’t tell. Don’t feel. Don’t see. Don’t dream. Don’t think, because the reason of thought is monetary and survival is instinct. It’s the same reason we perch on the corner and wear black in the winter and white-tee in the summer.
THIS is that infinite understanding that you forgot about the moment you came into being- the human purpose. Or just lay in a hot tub and bleed out if it doesn’t mean anything. Hang your fears from a rope and burn its toes if that’s how you feel.
But energy doesn’t dissipate. Aint NO amount of troops or apologies going to get rid of the hate or the hater or them thus to be hated.
we are fated.
