Each year we organize a Christmas CD compilation called Have a Holly Raleigh Christmas as a charitable fund-raiser and also as a way to promote local music. Community-building has never been this much fun! In 2006 proceeds from the sale of the discs provided scholarships for area student musicians. For 2007 & 2008, all proceeds were directed to the Community Music School of Raleigh, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which provides music instruction for children of financially-challenged families. For 2009 we are pleased to continue our work with the Community Music School.

The music we choose for Have a Holly Raleigh Christmas is as diverse as the music community in the Raleigh, NC and surrounding areas. We seek out quality recordings of excellent holiday songs, either originals or original arrangements of traditional songs, regardless of genre.

Although Sir Walter Records LLC does not have non-profit status, it does not profit in any way from the sale of these discs. We simply organize & produce a unique, quality, marketable product and assist the project sponsors that distribute & sell the Holly Raleigh CDs. These sponsors in-turn collect & distribute the proceeds from the sale of the discs. Our staff is made up entirely of volunteers who spend hundreds of hours each year putting this compilation together, and /or organizing distribution and sales. Most of our production services are donated and all costs are kept at a minimum.

Of course we couldn't do it without all of the great artists contributing their invaluable talents of writing, recording and donating their music to the project.
