Sister City is Adam Linder, Daniel Abzug, and Scott Golden. We are music for (although not limited to) people who were raised on Blink 182, went through a ridiculous punk rock phase, and ended up with an open mind and a love of bands like Say Anything, Counting Crows, and Brand New with a healthy dose of songwriters like Kevin Devine and Bright Eyes. Daniel still listens to Slick Shoes, but what can you do?
Sister City are the winners of the Clark University 2009 Battle of the Bands!
Nice things people have said about us that we have not taken out of context:
"Indie rock at its best, is a killer combination of originality, creativity, and catchy hooks. Sister City manages to mold bits of each see them cross over to more mainstream success" -- ConsequenceofSound.net
"Definitely check out this under the radar indie/punk influenced band and you won't regret it." -- I Found this Song in the Road

Our third release in 2008, The Clark EP came out on December 18, 2008. It contains three songs that differ from the rest of our recorded canon because each song features a professional string quartet. I composed the parts for each song and the amazing musicians in the QX String Quartet were kind enough to record them. My friend Tom Hamill played the electric guitar on the third track, "Song of the Part-Time Insomniac." Click the cover art or click here to download it:

It's my first time seeing them ever, after several failed attempts already. It'll be unbelievable. I can already picture the memories. And of course I downloaded the demos by now - will Sister City be on tour anytime soon?
Not only did you have me sold by mentioning Cursive, but you certainly did not disappoint when I took a listen, expecting another band stretching their influences - of which all of yours are impressive. In fact, I'm seeing Cursive next week, so this was a grand find. Thank you for it.
