    ..Sister I-live was born and raised in the Parish of Westmoreland Jamaica, West Indies. Her career singing began in her local parish church choir and her school choir. She became a participant in the Youth Club Concert where she was loved and accepted. This exposure inspired her to start writing her own songs. She and her friends would frequently go to the beach side with guitars and drums chanting music fir hours. Some of these songs have been recorded. Sister I-live loved to attend dancehall sessions where she would dance all night to all kinds of music. .. .. From an early age Sister I-live was interested in seeking a spiritual way of life. At fourteen years old, she began visiting and reasoning with local Rasta bredren and sistren. Sister I-live loved attending the Nyahingy groundations where Rastas would chant together with drums. In 1973, she began to grow her dreadlocks and further her commitment to Rastafari. .. .. Siter I- live moved to California in 1984 where she started singing as DJ, toasting and singing over the local sound systems. Then she began singing on stage shows, backing up local reggae performers. In 1987, she began singing with a band called the chosen few, comprised of some of the toughest reggae musicians in the Bay Area. .. .. In 1990s and early 2000s, I-live and her band performed all around the West Coast, Alaska and Canada. .. .. Sister I- Lives first album was released in 1989 on the Out Of Many One label. Her second release Jealousy, released in 2002, provides her outstanding inspirational and vocal abilities. Sister I- live is a lively performer whose dancing infectiously moves her audiences.
