About SISTER MANIK

Right. The year is 2007 and the debut album has come out a little over year ago. Since the year 2000 SM has played numerous gigs around Finland and received airplay here in Finland as well as abroad. So it's looking good for the guys & gal in the band. At the moment the band is in the middle of the process of writing new material for the next record as well as rehearsing the songs. At the time of writing this there are no schedules for the upcoming album, one song has already been recorded and the plans are to enter the studio as soon as possible to continue the recordings.

There has been some changes in the band after the release of "Read My Lips"- album. New bassist - Simeon Illwill, a long-time friend of the band - was introduced to the crowd in early 2007 and shortly after that, the keyboardist Michael Frostglobe departed the band. The band is currently rehearsing with a new guitarist, Ramirez, and the sound of the band is changing. New material seems to be a bit darker and moodier - one might say it's a slight return to the era of gothic/ industrial style Sisters once were but certainly it isn't so. There are some flavors of that time but the music is much more closer to the likes of The Cult, Skid Row and Whitesnake to mention few.

We are living very interesting times at the moment so buckle up and enjoy the ride.
