Generaldrawing badly, writing when I have time, retouching photos, hanging out with my cats and dog, avoiding sunlight, sitting on a swing in all kinds of weather listening to music, astronomy, music, many other things I can't remember at the moment.
MusicTom Waits, Frank Sinatra, Billy Joel, Scissor Sisters, 80's new wave, Beatles, David Bowie, trance, ambient, progressive, jazz, chill, Depeche Mode, Nik Kershaw, Warren Zevon, Julian Lennon, Sean Lennon, Aztec Camera, Imogen Heap, Sade, Gnarls Barkley, They Might Be Giants, Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, White Stripes, Shakira, ABBA, Donna Summer, Louis Prima, Level 42, Queen, Foo Fighters, Chris Botti, Alu, Adiemus, U2, Coldplay, Keane, I listen to everything--and I mean everything.
MoviesStar Wars, Enigma (2001), Monty Python & the Holy Grail, V for Vendetta, Indiana Jones, Emma (1996), James Bond, Xanadu, Dark Star, many bizzare movies including Manos: The Hands of Fate, Ninja Terminator, In The Year 2889 and Yor, Hunter From The Future.
TelevisionI grew up with Beavis & Butt-head, Speed Racer, Sailor Moon, Hanna-Barbera, Krofft Superstars, and Tom & Jerry. Other than Ugly Betty, The Office, Firefly, Arrested Development and Battlestar Galactica, I despise the current state of television. I will watch renovation shows or cooking shows if they're on, because other people's calamity is fun. I watch American Idol and Dancing With The Stars, and I'm starting to not be ashamed to admit that.
BooksHitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Amelia Peabody series, Stephen King, Harry Potter, The Hobbit, LotR, His Dark Materials, Ulysses, Charles Dickens, Nancy Drew, Dr. Suess...I always liked to read.

Softkey Leftsoftkey Right

I am currently a workaholic toiling to no avail in a quiet area of The Bronx, NY, which has only had four DEA raids in the past year, living at home and getting migraines about every other day. I tend to yell at the news when it's on and listen to old 80's music, because I've become an eliteist where newer mainstream music is concerned and I can't stand 80% of current Top 40 music. Music and radio are pretty much an obsession with me, and that is why I constantly keep referring to it. I fear that I am becoming boring in my old age, and so I occasionally attempt to make contact with the outside world. Hi.

Read my comic: http://monkey.comicgenesis.com
Read my blog: http://sisterpepperspray.blogspot.com

Looking for the "Tell Me About Yourself" meme? It's here now. It wasn't agreeing with my stylesheet, so I moved it. Those of you who have read it 90 times will be glad you don't have to scroll past it; those of you who haven't read it need to now, because I put a lot of time and silly into it.

Who I'd like to meet:
People who love Monty Python, people whe love The Comic Strip Presents and all its children, people who love Beavis & Butt-head, people who love animals, people who aren't afraid to laugh at dirty jokes, people who like '80s music, people who like Curling, people who like playing Tomb Raider and GTA, people who are okay with spirituality but are not waiting for the coming of the great white handkerchief, people who don't have a problem with Jar-Jar Binks, and people who are not interested in killing me in a dark alley. I do not go into alleys in the daylight, but if I should ever happen to do that, I don't want to be killed then, either.

"Ticklin' The Strings" by Sweet Hollywaiians
Amazing Japanese hot string band playing 1920's, 30's, 40's style hawaiian, swing, calypso, blues, italian music and originals, featuring vintage instruments.3 songs with Robert Armstrong and Tony Marcus(from Robert Crumb and His Cheap Suit Serenaders)

"The Sweet Hollywaiians have probably the best feel for this 20's music of any string band working today. They manage the rare feat of sounding relaxed even when their playing is hot, are top notch musicians with tasteful arrangements and a full, rich, warm sound.Plus, they have a nice gamut of tunes, from King Nawahi to Giovanni Vicari to Bobby Leecan. See them live, if you can, for an unforgettable experience. If you can't, buy their Cds!" ~ Terry Zwigoff

Shook down on me

Mar 3 2009 5:20 AM

My new CD is one more track closer to being completed! This new track just finished is called "The Job" referring to a job I had during my college days at a local factory in central Pennsylvania. This factory is the largest Christmas bow manufacturer in the world. During my time there, I had a little incident and it is quite funny to look back on. Anyway, please give a listen to my new song and see if you can figure out what happened in the end. Please leave feedback if possible, this is the only way I know how to make my music more appealing to the masses. Thanks again for the friendship and support.

Later,
Ken :)
