Sisters is more than a band; Sisters is a community of people producing and consuming art for its own sake. Sisters originally began in Sacramento, California under the name Colour and then existed as a primarily experimental studio project named Abernathy based in Seattle, Washington. In the summer of 2008, Colour drummer David Goudy moved to Seattle to join Spencer Gall and Michael Pierce. By fall of that year Sean Hamilton and Danielle Oakley had joined the project, and Sisters was born.
Our hope is that Sisters will make music that inspires people to create on their own. We value art and literature and photography and prose and anyone who harnesses their intrinsic creativity simply for the sake of creating. In a world that has become more and more focused on function and product, Sisters is trying to shrug of the burden of expectations and simply make music.
We hope you’ll join us as we continue to consume art and create some of our own. Check back, as we will be adding new songs and fresh creations every chance we get.
We love you,
Sisters
