About SITE: B -THE BATTLE FOR HALLOWEEN II FINAL OCT 31!
Site: B is located at 618 Cemetery Street in Williamsport, Pa 17701. The venue is located within the Pajama Factory (old Raytowne Building). Remember to look for the smoke stack!
Booking is primarily done through MySpace. If you have an EPK you can send it to drumdevil44@yahoo.com. The main booking contact is Jesse. Questions about the venue can be directed to the Uptown Music Collective @ 570-329-0888 and ask for Jared. Please keep in mind that we all do work other jobs, if we do not get to your request right away, we will! We get many inquires per week and do our best to answer them all.
OUR MISSION: “To provide a performance venue, open to all ages, to cultivate and showcase local, regional, and national talent. Where any style of music can be heard, and enjoyed on any given night, in a professional, comfortable, and safe environment. Where music, art, and community enrichment are key elements in all that we do and strive to achieve.” Basically, we want to provide the best shows at cheap prices and make the music accessible to all ages! We pride ourselves on supporting ORIGINAL music, if you want to hear a cover band or “party” band, Site: B is not the place for it. We want to expose as many new bands and as many genres as possible. EVEN IF YOU DON’T KNOW THE BANDS ON THE BILL, STOP BY AND SHOW SOME SUPPORT!!! You may even like it!
SHOWS: We book shows on a weekly basis, primarily on Saturday nights. Shows begin at 7pm with doors opening at 6:30pm and shows are usually done by 10pm (unless otherwise noted). Everyone must be out of the venue 30 minutes after the last band ends their set. We usually book 3 bands per show and at most 4bands. We are open to any and all genres of music. All shows are all ages and open to the public (unless otherwise noted). We DO NOT rent the venue to bands. If you have a show lined up and you would like to work with us, let us know, and we can try and make it happen. Our house can hold approx 350 people.
RULES AND REGULATIONS:
The Site: B Commandments
1. It’s all about the music, not you!
2. Express yourself with consideration for others, Violence will not be tolerated .
3. If you enjoy being here, please take care of the place.
4. If you don’t like being here there is something wrong with you!
5. If you like the bands, let them know-If you don’t, have respect.
6. Be safe, Take care of your friends and we will take care of you.
7. Support the musicians, artists, staff and venue at all times.
8. The action is inside, do not loiter outside.
9. “What thou avoidest suffering thyself seek not to impose on others.” (The golden rule)
10. Follow all rules and regulations, we have a zero tolerance policy
No drugs or alcohol allowed in the venue or in the parking lot. Outside drinks are not permitted in the venue. Smoking is allowed in the courtyard only, not in the venue or in front of the venue. Once you have paid the cover and received your hand stamp for the evening you are not permitted re-entry if you leave. If you have to go outside for any reason (smoke, cell phone, ears need a break) please use the courtyard. If you must leave, and want to return, you will be asked to pay the cover again.
BANDS: The primary source of income for the venue is the cover at the door. This being the case, we cannot make any guarantees of money to any band. We have a split point of 80 people on a $5.00 cover night, which mean every dollar that comes in the door after 80 people is split 50% to the venue and 50% to the bands performing that night. Exceptions can be made on a case by case basis depending the distance that the band travels to play at the venue. We are nonprofit which mean that all the money made by the venue goes right back into the venue, either through rent or improvements. Bands are expected to promote their show to the best of their ability. The more people you have at your show, the better the chances are of you getting paid and expanding your audience. Bands keep 100% of merch sales. Bands traveling a distance will be given one free pass for the person that handles your merch table. All other guest must pay the cover. We strongly encourage that all bands stay for the other bands on the bill and we ask that you encourage your fans to do the same. This helps build the scene, builds relationship, shows support, and is just common courtesy.
NIGHTS OF SHOWS: Most shows begin at 7pm with doors at 6:30pm. Load in for these shows will begin at 5:15pm. All bands and their gear must be in the venue and set up by 6:30pm. If you are not in the venue with your gear by 6:30pm you may be dropped from the bill. We have this rule to make the shows run as smoothly as possible. Please do not have the “rock star” attitude. Upon arriving at the venue, please ask for the house manger and he will help you with your gear, give you are rundown for the evening, give you wristbands and let you know about sound check. We have a full house system with lights. We also have a 5 piece Yamaha house kit for bands that do not want to bring their own kit. Please let us know in advance if you plan on using our house kit.
RECORDING: For security purposes, we record the audio from every show. If you would like access to these files for personal use, please speak to a manager the night of the show and set something up. We offer this service to all bands because it is not usually possible for us to pay all the bands that grace our stage.
LEGAL: Upon entering Site: B you accept the fact that we are not responsible for anything lost, stolen, or damaged on your person or in your car. Site: B is not responsible for harm, loss, or damage, however caused, that may arise from being at one of our shows or in our parking lot. By entering the venue you assume all responsibility and you come at your own risk. Yes, I know this sounds extreme but we just like to cover our butts. That being said, our venue is a very safe, well staffed place, for you to have a great time!
We are always looking for help and ideas, please contact us with your thoughts or willingness to help and make help Site: B the best all ages venue around!
