About me:
On the outside, I'm just a crazy costume maker from Chicago. But on the inside, I am much more.
I enjoy making costumes and acting out whatever character I might be dressed as. I do a lot of Johnny Depp costumes, but that is not intentional. I do the specific costumes for my love of either the character, movie or the costume. That is why I am a costume maker.
I do not think I am Johnny Depp, nor do I want to be Johnny Depp. It is not my goal to imitate living people, I imitate the fictional characters on screen. I'm bored enough with my life to act out various over the top characters, but I do not dislike my own self to the point where imitating another living person makes me feel better about myself.
Please do not send me myspace pages that are all about Johnny Depp. I am not much of a myspace friend collector, and don't need anymore friend list clutter than I've already got.
As stated before, I love to make costumes. I love to challenge myself with making new things or working in new mediums. I love entertaining people. I love to see them smile and see them laugh. It's a small satisfaction that helps fuel my hobbies. This world is filled with plenty of misery and assholes, I'm just doing my part to help bring balance to that.
I do not believe in religions. I feel that they tend to bring more bad than good. I respect if someone else chooses to believe in something, but do not want it pushed onto me. With that said, do not expect me to do the same to you in return.
I enjoy clean living. I do not smoke, I've never done drugs, and although it may be a surprise to you, I've never drank alcohol. We're talking not even a taste. None of these are for me, nor will they ever be.
I used to collect a lot of useless garbage, and have since tried to simplify my life. I enjoy my car or various electronic gadgets. But otherwise, I am not much of a material person anymore. My most material possessions are the things I make.
I love my wonderful girlfriend. She is the most beautiful person I know, inside & out. My life would not be the same without her. I do anything for her, and she's always there for me. No games, no lies, just true love. I can only try to undo any damage that previous morons have done to destroy her self-esteem. I show her how a true man treats a woman he loves. I will always defend her. If you try to upset her at all, you'll be hearing from me.
I love my friends from all around the world. I admit that I can sometimes be a little exclusive with whom I trust with my friendship. That is because there have been too many insane or fake people whom have made me this way. But that's not to say that I do not enjoy making new friends. To this day, I am very close with some of my grade school friends. So once I do consider you a friend there is no escape for you!!!! hahaha
I love animals. I am exceptionally fond of birds and would love to have a cockatoo or even a toucan one day. I've had quite a few pets in my life. I grew up with a large flock of various birds. Four years ago, I lost my childhood friend. He was my favorite parrot. One that should have lived much longer than he did.
I love to travel. I love to experience different cultures, and I love warm weather. (I really love Brazil) :p I've been so many places, yet there are still many other places I would like to see.
I am a spelling Nazi! I do not like to see the English language butchered. There is something seriously wrong with this country's school system if people cannot properly spell simple words.
I do not watch TV, but I love watching movies, and have enough DVDs to topple and crush a small child. Bring on the horror movies, bring on the sappy Korean dramas, and bring on the movies with the guys bashing each other's skulls in!
I love my Cubbies! It's about the only thing you will ever catch me watching on TV. Sometimes winter can be a little too long.
I love music. Again, can one ever get too much samba or bossa nova? Axe? Pagode? Foreign music is another way of experiencing a different culture. One can close their eyes and almost feel in another place. The US can really pump out some crappy music. Rarely are there ever "classic" songs anymore. Nowadays, today's music is forgotten after about a year or two. Lots of Hollywood movies are beginning to be the same way. So again, bring on the eastern cinema, or the foreign music!
I love to cook. No dish is too difficult for me. Give me a recipe, and you're in store for a gourmet meal!
I am also a lover of green or pu erh teas. Can't get enough of them! yum!
I love to sing and I love to play guitar. I also love to dance, but it's not quite so easy trying to do all 3 at once. So the dancing is usually reserved only for music listening. hah
Love me or hate me, I am who I am. There are very few people that I personally do not like. And if I do, there is a solid reason why. If you love me, you probably know me well. If you do not like me, chances are you either don't really know me very well, or you just don't like what I'm about. If you are one of those people, then you simply have to turn yourself away from this page here, cause there's a good chance I'm not going to be coming to yours anytime soon.
