Sitticus is a three piece rock, blues, and jam band from Aurora, IL consisting of Jacob Mack on Lead/backing vocals and guitar, Vinnie (Vince) Pacione on Lead/backing vocals and bass, and Lane Wright on drums.
Sitticus started in January '08. Since then, we've played out regularly, and truly impressed audiences everywhere you go. We're not a garage band; we actually play real shows. With Vince's funk style of bass playing, Lane's complex rhythms, and my own guitar flavor, we've made a great mix that everyone enjoys.
What do we strive for? The stars is our answer. We plan on going right to the top; whatever you may define as "the top." Along with consistent practices, good sound, and highly entertained audiences, we also have a list of accomplishments within the last year.
Some Accomplishments are:
-We recently (in August) won a "Battle of the Bands" competition.
-The prize for the competition was 15 hours of recording time at JPL Records in Cary, IL. We will be recording a professional demo January 16, 17, and 18, 2009.
-We have been mentioned in Aurora, IL's Beacon News for playing at Prisco's Next Door Cafe in Aurora.
-The victory at the battle of the bands had an article written about it Batavia's newspaper.
-Sitticus (currently) averages about 1-2 shows a month; in the summer it's 2-3 shows a month, so we play regularly. This number will increase as we expand our following and contacts.
-Sitticus is always asked to return wherever we play. Examples include: The Batavia Triathlon, A private party in Batavia, Prisco's Next Door Cafe (asked to return monthly), Kelly's Bar and American Grill (recent success, and have been asked to return; we got to play with Buddy Guy's ex-sax player at this gig Saturday, January 10th; he enjoyed our music very much), and we performed at a benefit for my friend, Carlos, in August; we have been asked to perform at another benefit in the future.
Sitticus is already a success story. We guarantee you that any audience will enjoy us, no matter where we go.
Thanks for the add!! Ever consider putting your music on a USB Keychain Flash Drive with your logo on it? Interested? Check us out. It's a great way to promote your band and your entire music catalog. If you are interested, we have a special for 100 drives and we do all the work. Send us a note.
