SFU013 The Mongoloids - Time Trials 12"
The Mongoloids are one of the most polarizing bands in hardcore right now. Most people either love them or hate them, but the number of Mongo-Stompers are increasing everyday. "Time Trials", their first LP, contains 14 songs of New Jersey Straight Edge for 2007 in the vein of bands like Sheer Terror and "Best Wishes" era Cro-Mags. Their musicianship and approach is miles ahead of their first seven inch. Known for their heavy mosh, ripping guitar solos, and weird shirts, the Mongoloids have made a name for themselves all over the US on tour and at This is Hardcore fest this year when they basically stole the show on the second day. Sleep on the Mongoloids and weep forever. Split release with Collapse Records.

SFU012 Pressure Point - Resist and Riot LP
Since forming in 1994, Sacramento's Pressure Point have become Northern California's premier oi band, mixing the styles of punk, hardcore and reggae with ultra-catchy sing-along anthems. The boys have played with and toured alongside such bands as Rancid, Dropkick Murphys, Street Dogs, Whisky Rebels, Angelic Upstarts, Agnostic Front, Sick Of It All and more over their 13 year career, and have appeared on numerous Hellcat Records "Give 'Em the Boot" compilations. This is their first album to be released on vinyl! Featuring guest vocals by Lars Frederiksen of Rancid on the track "Here To Stay".

SFU011 Bitter End - Climate Of Fear 12"
Refining their NYHC-influenced mid-tempo mosh approach displayed on their first 7" "Mind In Chains", Bitter End takes it to the next level with their debut LP, "Climate of Fear". Tight production accentuates song after pummeling song dealing with everything fucked up about the world today, and the search for a deeper truth (if one exists at all). One of the best bands around today, between exhaustive touring and their latest release, Bitter End have established themselves as a band not to be slept on in 2007. Our good friends at Malfunction Records are handling the CD version. Gatefold cover features art by renowned artist Linas Garcys.
SFU010 Let Down - Sacrifice Me
Hated by many, loved by few, and not even respected by themselves, Let Down has blazed a warpath across the United States by proving themselves to be too fast for the hardcore kids, yet too mosh oriented and straight edge for the punks. They have left a trail of blood (mostly their own) across both coasts and managed to alienate literally thousands of people over the last three years. Let Down's third EP (and Six Feet Under debut), may be their best work to date, but it is in no way a step forward in maturity. There is no hint of post hardcore on this four song raper, just a wanton blend of their original sound with more influence from '81 Boston and '91 Cleveland. Still existing on their own terms and playing by their own rules, Let Down may be the final hope for Straight Edge hardcore in 2007.

SFU009 Trash Talk - Walking Disease 7" *2nd PRESSING

SFU008 Dean Dirg - Three Successive Blasts 10"
These Germans deliver 11 songs of sloppy punk-influenced hardcore, most of which clock in at under a minute. The sound is somewhere between that of fellow europeans Regulations and stateside favorites Tear It Up, with nods to classic bands of yesteryear like Dead Kennedys, Black Flag and especially Circle Jerks. A strong emphasis on catchy riffs combined with plentiful tempo changes and gang vocals. Pick this up and catch the buzz on one of the next great euro bands.

SFU007 Loud and Clear - s/t 12"
Straight out of Belgium, members of Justice and Dead Stop drop 11 songs of fast, balls-to-the-wall 80's influenced hardcore in the vein of Youth of Today and The Abused. This is the US pressing, with the European pressing out on Powered Records. Straight forward hardcore that's both HARD and FAST as opposed to poppy and cheesy like many of the straight edge flavor-of-the-week bands of today.
