Something was wrong with the music industry. The music on the radio seemed watered down. It certainly lacked depth and energy.
Six Foot Under was started, aiming at doing something completely different.
An expert in psychology and psychotherapy, the founder worked on the inhibitions and egos of his fellow band members. The result was that music could be created completely spontaneously with no rehearsal, nothing written down and without even looking at one another.
By the time that Breaking Free, the band’s third album was released, the music was flowing so freely that the album had more than 5 hours of music contained in it.
What has evolved is a band where musicians come in and out, sometimes for just a day’s session and sometimes for a couple of albums. What they experience coming out from them is beyond anything they have previously experienced and of course, totally spontaneous to boot!
