Ian is a multi-instrumentalist/songwriter. He's been heavily involved in the Denton, Texas music scene since the early 90's, and has worked with projects that cross the spectrum in terms of style.
He got his start as a funk bassist in his High School years, and moved on to playing with the hard edged trio Ultra 7 in 1995. From there he was the bassist and a founding member of the Dallas pop rock band Valve. He followed as singer/guitarist for the post punk band (100)proofHero, and the blues rock trio Six Gun Saints.
He has worked with several bands over the years in one capacity or another. He did a short stint as the bassist for a fledgling Space Cadet, was a guitarist for A Revolution of Kings and The Swedish Teens, did recording and fill in work for Last of the Interceptors, and worked on various musical projects with countless North Texas musicians.
Currently going solo, Ian is enlisting the help of several friends to put together an album that truly captures his tastes, influences, and versatility. It promises to be a blend of power, lush melody, guitar histrionics, and a whole lot of fuzz! Fans of bands like Dinosaur Jr., Chavez, Smashing Pumpkins, and John Frusciante will find a kindred musical spirit in his work.
Ian is aiming toward a spring unveiling. Keep checking in for updates and a taste of the music that Ian is so anxious to share with you all.
