Overflow Records	Nov 26 2009 10:31 PM After a more than deserved holidays, Overflow Records is back on track with the sixth reference, coming straight from one of the biggest names when it comes about Techno: Mr. Fanon Flowers, the raising star from Kalamazoo, MI, a place between two cities that marked the history of electronic music (Detroit & Chicago) it’s our next artist. Producing techno since 1992, with a original style mixing the soul of house music with the syncopated rhythms of techno, creator of one of the best labels in techno like Mechanism Industries, Fanon Flowers is for sure one of the few that continues the traces of the original school. The man just started a new label called Studio Sound, showing some jack trax in the Acid Kush EP. With “Blue Dreams” we’re going to find a lot of that. Pure of that Chicago sound on the first two tracks that gives the name to the release, with a neat progression of layers, a journey to those days. The third cut named “Stoney Island” it’s pure minimalistic techno track, where the dephts and darkness are merged together into this hypnotic rhythmics, almost like a tribal ritual.
