SIX SIX CRUSH is the musical embodiment of a ‘70s muscle car – made to be fast and hell bent on destruction. Fueled by a passion for all things heavy, SIX SIX CRUSH takes no prisoners, leaving your neck sore and ears ringing as a souvenir from their show.
The band formed in 2004 drawing its inspiration from punk, heavy metal and classic rock. After a year of cutting their teeth, SIX SIX CRUSH released a five-song demo in 2005 that succeeded in capturing the band’s live energy.
SIX SIX CRUSH has since become a mainstay in the Minneapolis music scene, sharing the stage with such acts as Gay Witch Abortion, Bastard Saint, San Francisco’s Black Cobra and the legendary Libido Boyz among others. Years of dedication paid off in early 2008 when the band released its first full-length album On A Path. Clocking in under 25 minutes over 13 blistering tracks, On A Path proves that rock & roll is best played fast and loud. Fans of Poison idea, Motorhead and AC/DC should appreciate the tough riffage of “Hot Rails” and “Open Wheel”, while “Bucket Of Blood” and “Evil Goblins” showcase the band’s appreciation for over-the-top, comic book inspired horror.
