I'm a connoisseur of inexpensive domestic beverages who enjoys playing and hearing music, obsessing over guitars, cooking, camping, TV, sperm donation, dying slowly over the course of several decades, and darts are fun too.
Music
The Stones, Hank, Merle, Johnny, Waylon, Willie, Tom Waits, Buck Owens, too much to name.
Movies
foreign porno (with english subtitles)
Television
It's on in the background.
Books
The Bridges of Madison County, Chicken Soup for the Soul, The Holy Bible, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, Dianetics, Our Bodies Ourselves, The Book of Mormon, anything with Fabio on the cover, Tuesday's with Morrie, Black Tail Magazine
Heroes
Heroes of the general variety: Lenny Bruce, Mike Judge, Seth McFarland, Bill Clinton's crooked pecker, David Cross and Russell Simmons (for making it ok in America for suburban white kids to buy a drink called Pimp Juice. Fuckin' try that in St. Louis in 1975 and see what you get!)-----Heroes of the musical variety: Keith Richards, Gram Parsons, George Harrison, Jeff Tweedy, James Burton, Woody Guthrie, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan-----Heroes of the super variety: Spiderman. That is all. Really if you could be any hero, who's cooler than Spiderman? You can climb on walls and shoot those kick-ass webs and you've got Spidey Sense and a smokin' hot redhead for a girlfriend (and her name's Mary Jane wink wink). No gay sidekick, no kryptonite-phobias, no green skin or torn pants, no living in a Real World house with Captain Piccard and the guy from Swordfish, The Ramones sing your theme song and you get to make a ton of smart-assed quips. Plus you get to live in New York instead of stupid Metropolis or Gotham or wherever the X-Men live. Techically speaking, though, bats ARE slightly cooler than spiders.
Co-host and assistant developer of the Chippewa Chapel Traveling Guitar Circle and Medicine Show. You can catch most Thursday evenings at Off Broadway 3509 Lemp Ave.
About me: Singer/songwriter I play with The Dock Ellis Band and The Dirty 30's, and I host the Chippewa Chapel Open Mic as well as making solo appearances. I like fondling guitars, cooking, the odd glass of whiskey, singing with my friends. I don't like red lights, Pat Robertson, waking up before 11:00 am.
