This ain't the same old music that most labels are re- producing. Six Strings Down is the real deal laced with fire, hunger, and the knowledge of the know. Fearless guitar rants, shoot-outs, and head cuttin all while taking fans to new levels of devine inspiration. Six Strings Down has been to the mountain, over the cross roads, and are prepared to cross as many rivers as it takes to bring you the kind of majic once heard from the masters themselves. John Lisi, Billy Iuso, Westbank Mike Doussan, and Josh Garret are the top guitarist on the southern scene hands and SIX STRINGS DOWN.
"It reminded me of the early Bloomfield and Butterfield sessions when the musicians really respected the music and they stretched but stayed true to the roots and feeling. The session was incredible. We did a Benoit style session in three days that I have been used to for sometime now and the guys rose to the occassion. I think I did the only physical pre-production work prior to recording. I find the best way to get that kind fire - you have to rely on the natural instinct of the players. You set a good pace and if you get the right players then it happens. We were not going for un-reachable radio we wanted a good record and they did it." Rueben Williams, producer.
It may have taken force of nature to bring John Lisi, West Bank Mike Doussan, Josh Garrett, and Billy Iuso together as SIX STRINGS DOWN but these four firey guitar players/band leaders have now come together on their debut CD, an event that is sure to remain an important piece of New Orleans and America’s musical tapestry. These four slingers who were hand-picked by blues guitarist Tab Benoit and manager Rueben Williams for an appearance at the 2006 Voice of the Wetlands Festival now have become a natural force all of their own. If your down with four guitar players then you'll dig the two drummers, and one bass player that goes by Cujo ( because this bad mutha fucker bites). This is SIX STRINGS DOWN.
SIX STRINGS DOWN the debut record coming in OCTOBER 2007

Big Chief Monk Boudreaux
