Six Strings ‘n Coffee Beans is a non-profit coffee haus hosted by Advent Lutheran Church at 3232 S. Cooper St., Arlington TX. This outreach ministry is focused on presenting local and regional talent in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Come enjoy the music, fellowship and Herb’s great coffee. Bring a friend. This once/month event is open to the public.

    David Hawkins and I had a wonderful time performing at Six Strings & Coffee Beans last September. Thank you for having us.
    I see Kathleen Jackson and Bruce Williams are opening for Bards' Crossing. They are awesome!!! Saw them at the Texas Independent Music Expo last weekend in Dallas.

    March 12th music workshop: Guest speakers will be Linda O’Brian and Ken Halford. Ken is a singer/songwriter who produces Bob Kingsley’s Country Top 40 show and is currently working with Jewel. Linda is a former radio station music director, currently serving as the host of the American Christian Music Review. She also is a voice actor and gives instruction at KD Studios acting conservatory in Dallas.


    Free - Open to the public.

    Smithfield Fair is looking forward to returning to Six Strings & Coffee Beans!

    As Smithfield Fair returns to the road and starts the fall performances, Smithfield Fair will return to the Six Strings & Coffee Beans Coffee Haus (3232 S. Cooper, Alrington, TX - Advent Lutheran Church) on Friday, August 22nd, 2008 with Echoes From The Glen opening at 7 p.m.


    Then, (Aug 23) Smithfield Fair presents "The Music of Charmer" complete with reunion of Charmer, guest guitarist David Praet and former Charmer member John Wakefield opening at 7:30 at the Hearn Stage of the Kress Theatre, downtown Third Street in Alexandria, LA. Both of these shows will be full of fun, surprises and a great evening of original songs.


    **Breaking News** I've just been informed that in addition to the Charmer anniversary collection The Perfect Cafe (CD), original Charmer LPs have been discovered in the vaults and will go on sale at the August 23 "Music of Charmer" reunion show.
    Come get them while they last!
