| General | FREE hip hop classes were taught for 11 weeks (January-April 2009) by 6th Day Dance members April Cunningham and Amy Maranan to youth ages 12-19 at a beginning/immediate level. Classes are held at Harambee in Renton. This was brought to the community in part by grant funding from Renton Municipal Arts Commission and 4Culture.
We are searching for a "Nomination Director." This Director will be in charge of pursuing new avenues for recruiting and maintain quality Board members. Director will also be in charge communicating with the advisory committee and seeking out new professionals to serve in this role. 6th Day will be holding auditions for the performing company and apprentice program on Sunday, August 30th 2009 from 1:30 to 5:30pm at Westlake Dance Center 10703 8th Ave, Seattle WA 98125. To schedule an audition please download the Dancer Interest Packet and Application (found at http://www.sixthdaydance.org/booking.html) and email the completed application by August 28th 2009 to director@sixthdaydance.org.
