My favorite entertainment show is This American Life, from Public Radio International. It used to be on on NPR on Sundays at 4:00, but since it's been moved to 10:00 A.M., I haven't kept up. The loss is my own. Other than that, mine is a life measured not by the large accomplishments, but rather by the small. I love getting struck by inspiration and undertaking a project, usually without much forsight, only to leave it half finished when my gaze turns elsewhere. I sewed a kilt because I woke up one morning at 5 A.M. and knew my life couldn't go on without one. Situational ethics/Situationism.

Music

Movies
This is probably predictable and just a little cliche: Donnie Darko, Ghost World, Almost Famous, Saving Private Ryan, SLC Punk, Ghost and the Darkness, Napoleon Dynamite, The Band's The Last Waltz, Concert for George, Apocalypse Now (and Heart of Darkness), Star Wars (but only Return of the Jedi), Indian Jones (but not Temple of Doom; not enough Nazi's in it and especially the last scene of Raiders of the Lost Arc), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, my DVD burner so all these are free, Bondock Saint's (I forget how to spell it), fuck, every time I look at this list I remember obvious shit I didn't put, but when faced with an update, I come up empty, Arrested Development on DVD (not on television, not in that section), some other crap.
Television
Top Chef, Mr. Show, Realworld, Roadrules, any combination of the previous two, the History Channel, Adult Swim, though this is still the greatest show ever
Two cool cats going out of their way to make two fat, ugly kids feel good about themselves and their cry-baby music (which I happen to like).
Books
Any Dune book, as long as it's written by the original author, Frank Herbert, Stranger in a Strange Land and the Moon is a Harsh Mistress by Robert A. Heinlein (and a stack of others aswell), the six books by James Clavell, though premierly Nobel House and Shogun, the 2001 series by Arthur C. Clarke, All Quiet on the Wester Front (my all time favorite book). A Passage to India. I read a lot, so that's probably why I am drawing a blank here.
