If you’re looking for generic overproduced music played by a bunch of guys wearing make up and pretty little wrist bands whining and screaming about nonsense then please look elsewhere. Sixty Miles Down is all about the music. No fancy clothes or make up here. Just 5 guys playing the music that they want to hear. Hard rock that’s dark and heavy but so catchy you’ll have it stuck in your head for days. This is Sixty Miles Down.
Hailing from northern New Jersey, Sixty Miles Down was born in 1998 by Singer John Mosco and (ex)guitarist Peter Dobrzanski. Many people have compared the music of Sixty Miles Down to bands like Alice in Chains, Sevendust, Corrosion of Conformity and Godsmack.
The band has 2 cd’s under it’s belt. 2002's full length cd Sink Or Swim and 2005's six song e.p. A New Skin.
There have been many different versions of Sixty Miles Down throughout it’s 10 year history. Currently the band consists of John Mosco on vocals, Chris Della Santi on drums, Goob on bass guitar and James Bennent on rhythm/lead guitar. The band is looking for one more guitar player to complete the line up. In the mean time the band is writing material for a new cd, seeking licensing opportunities and building a strong online presence. The band’s cd’s are available at various online retail locations including cdbaby.com, iTunes, Rhapsody and Amazon.com just to name a few.
