A funky house dj and aspiring producer living in the T-Dot, Don Sizzle earned his dancefloor stripes as a club-goer in Montreal in the late 90's. During this time you could find Sizzle most Fridays in the back left corner at Stereo, jackin' out to such legends as Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, and the then up-and-coming local Fred Everything.
During his time as a dj, Sizzle has had the pleasure of opening for talents such as Jason Hodges, Hector Moralez, Fred Everything, JT Donaldson, Jacob London, Miles Maeda, and Justin Long, at local establishments such as (the now defunct) System Soundbar and (the current T.O. hot spot) Footwork, among other underground locations.
Sizzle has turned his attention towards production, and hopes to one day make records that will be played by the djs that got him into house music in the first place. Watch this space!
On November 7, 2009: HotDish (1st Saturdays @ BLACK) presents "A LOCAL’S GUIDE TO TRAIN WRECKIN’ (_NOT)" featuring Bryan Gerrard (Celebrity), Soulfeather (Caterpillar), Nate Laurence (Bunch-o-labels / BLACK) and J. Matthews (Hot-N-spicy / BLACK).
We know you love it local – naughty famished monkeys! So, we’re using all locally grown ingredients this time. It’s a neighborhood cookout in November! Gluttony will be strictly enforced (but wear what you want)!
Bryan Gerrard: Um…do we need to write an intro Twin Cities househeads? What’s cool though…ready for this…we’re forcing him to resurrect the “deep” from his many days in the VIP; remember…when the place bumped and we all had tears in our eyes because the music actually did move us? Yep…that!
Introducing DJ Soulfeather to the VIP: If you don’t know him yet, he’s got the funkiest collection of tracks you’ve ever heard. The B-boys/girls in town have started to collect in a small cipher in front of him every Saturday at the Caterpillar Lounge where he is a resident – merely because he is…well…the “freshest kid.” We met him during gigs in Duluth at the Red Star and dragged his ass to the cities with us!
And…you’ll get a true taste of HotDish residents this time: Nate Laurence and J. Matthews – giving it to you unnaturally dope for the middle half of the night.
TOO MUCH LOVE freaky (Crisco Twister) lovers: REMEMBER that when you enter the side door, you get free crossover to TML. Double your pleasure, double your fun! You're invited. We'd love to see you in the VIP!

Four hours - 450 fahrenheit - First Ave - and you've got yourself one flavorsome hotdish! THIS SATURDAY (Oct 3), Hotdish serves up Romano Arcaini (from Latenight Society) and our hometown hero Jeff Kash (back from Florida for a one-time engagement)!
Maybe you know it and maybe you don't but Mr. Acraini (Orlando, FL) has been satisfying the house music meat-plate for many years with a discog that makes your mama's recipe book look brand new. He's the man behind "Tight Recordings" and hugely popular "Latenight Society," so we're wearing extra thick oven-mitts this time. With releases on massive house labels such as Detour, Amenti, Tango, Nordic Trax, Phobic, Eight-Tracks, and Control (to name but a few) it's no doubt we're excited to have him play his Minneapolis debut!
TOO MUCH LOVE freaky (Crisco Twister) lovers: REMEMBER that when you enter the side door, you get free crossover to TML. Double your pleasure, double your fun! You're invited. We'd love to see you in the VIP!

Nick Maurer is a co-founder of the Chicago group Greenskeepers and father of tongue-in-cheek sound that made the band one of house music’s best kept secrets. His new solo title “Wash My Hands” is proof of Maurer’s uncanny ability to make the dance floor move and smile at the same time.Musically, Wash My Hands is a funky steamroller that will flatten anyone that dares stand in its way. Remixally speaking, Wash My Hands is a cornucopia of musical pleasures featuring some of house music’s hottest talent. Miles Maeda, Thomas White, The Loopidy Goofs, Combined and Gramophonedzie push the track in a bunch of..different directions and make the song accessible to any DJ looking for something new and original.
