    The San Patricios Battalion The sun throws its orange blanket upon the silent city of spokane the clouds fight to cover its smile and all i see is donnies smile.... we walk the concrete street hand by hand his smile shines our path we see at the distance a shadow familiar to him but not to me smile..hello...skateboard and monster a street surfer named Brad. He glides in the earth that bows before him like a wave that has been conquered turning the whole street into an ocean of asfalt. Friends greet,smiles shine in spite of the rain we walk along a wet path that doesnt touch us and i learn little by little, this is not a sport this is a way of living and these two earthsufers breathe skateboarding like it was air....like it was food Donny likes to glide in this ocean like birds like to fly and I know how can something like this this insignificant to others...metal and wood can mean so much to someone...i feel the same thing for drumming i cant live without feeling the drumsticks in my hands its much more than an a thing...its a way of life.... i think this as i walk with them...they are earthsurfers and this ocean is theirs... ******* ..
