I've been host of the Scene-ik Drive for just over THIRTEEN years now and I've finally found an easy way to post my weekly Playlists.. ..........
and plug some good shows coming around.......
In 1991, 2 scooter geeks put together an underground comic book, "kinder Nacht" about scooters, mods, nazi skinheads, secret agents, and Ska. In the back of each issue was a 1 or 2 page listing of ska albums and show reviews entitled "ska-t's scene-ik drive". A few years later, after some pushing from a certain human serviette, the radio show was born on Citr 101.9fm. With my co-host Julie and various guest (drop-in)hosts the show is still going. Bands that have played live in the studio: Slow Gherkin, Punch the clown, the Planet Smashers, the Kingpins, the hoodwinks, los Furios, Chris Murray, TOKYO SKA PARADISE ORCHESTRA,Mama Pulpa,IllScarlet, Onedrop,Arbutus Trio, the Kiltlifters, Skatomatics. Co-hosts -Julie Matson, Buz (onezed.com),Chris Fairfield, the J-roys, James Bell,Roamin' , Nardwuar,J-roys, Horace Panter(the Specials),Jay Malinowski(bedouin soundclash), JFK, One Night Band.
