The journey from there has truly been something. Singing is my passion, good music makes me high!!
The consummate background singer, I have been singing in groups, choirs, bands, studio sessions, live recordings, etc. since forever. I have been blessed to share the stage with some of Gospel Music's giants, including: Vickie Winans, Ron Winans, Fred Hammond, Marvin Sapp, Karen Clark-Sheard, Hezekiah Walker, Kirk Franklin, The Clark Sisters, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Israel Houghton, Men of Standard, Marvin Winans and the Perfected Praise Choir, Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Rance Allen, Gladys Knight, BeBe & CeCe Winans, and many others. I have participated in recording sessions for Ron Winans Family & Friends, Vickie Winans, Antun Foster & Chemistry, Straight Gate Mass Choir, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, and several more.
In 2004, I was very fortunate to be nominated for a Stellar Award for my writing contributions to the smash hit "Shake Yourself Loose" performed by the fabulous Ms. Vickie Winans. I also recieved a BMI songwriter of the year award for that same song.
Since 1997, I've been a member of the fabulous group called Antun Foster & Chemistry, we've been very fortunate to travel and sing before thousands. Look for our upcoming release one day when the record company stops dragging their feet!!! LOL
I've also been very fortunate to sing background for my good friend Darnell Kendricks. As a smooth soul artist, he's doing BIG things...check him out on myspace and take a listen to some of the tracks from his CD release "Strawberry Lemonade."
Sometime in the very near future, I do intend to take all the contacts I've made and experiences I've had to launch my baby....SKAILife Entertainment, a full service entertainment company that does marketing and promotions, books and manages artists, and promotes and plans tours, concerts, and events....
