So you want to know all about the little Caucasian boy in drag?
Let’s start with how I fell into this life of glitter, booze, lipgloss & duck tape. The stage; Bradenton, Florida… I was just a mere slip of a girly~boy at the tender age of 15 when I was first introduced to the magical world of androgyny…and I fell in love. Still under the strains of defining orientation let alone gender identity. I enthralled with all things drag. It was a wild journey filled with punk/metal lesbians, little whore boys destined for great gang bang scenes, and a wig “liberated” from the High School Theater department…that was in desperate need of some leave in conditioner. Those where the days, is the mood set yet? Good, lets move on.
After one interesting sleep over, and a 3am group trip to Wal-Mart… Ba’Naka was born…or rather spat out of a glittery womb…or as I prefer, Ascended. My first Pride performance was at 17 …and that was just the start. After performing at a few local clubs I moved to our Nations Capital, Washington DC. Loved the city from day one. For reasons beyond my control I had moved back to Florida for 9 months, made lots of new friends and learned a lot about life. I moved back to DC 2005.
I've been back in the District for sometime now and am enjoying life and all that Drag has to offer. I like to think that I'm a healthy mix of Courtney Love, Britney Spears (circa 2002), and P!NK. I'm loud (always have been)I'm very friendly and sorta crazy, I'm not above making a scene or spinning in circles if it makes me laugh. If I'm not out causing a riot in the streets, or in a local bar downing a Cosmo you can catch me @ Town Danceboutique Fridays & Saturdays (Showtime @ 10)
