Skarots are a Leicester based 5 piece indie band, combining the fusion of indie/rock/ and occasionaly a bit of ska. We met on Gumtree.com, just a few lads looking to play music. Since June 08 we've been writing songs as a unit, and taking the lyrics from guitarist Nick Cox, which are all about daily life out on the streets of Leicester City. This involves those that claim illegal benifits and rob from those, like the band, that graft very hard. The band involves 2 nurses (Will Coltman, bass and Chris Teunisson,drums), a plumber ( Rich Greaves, guitar), a bricky (Nick Cox, guitar), and an office worker (Rob Beardsmore, singer). But we've gelled well and now have a couple of gigs under our belt, and hoping to take Leicester by a f***ing storm
