Auf der ersten Single „Bonx it pon Me“ ist Ganglords-Sänger Skarra Mucci zu hören. Skarra Mucci stammt aus Jamaika, lebt seit Jahren in Konstanz und gehört fix zum dee buzz family. Skarra Mucci fällt durch seine kräftige Stimme und seine Vielseitigkeit auf: als virtuoser Sänger und begnadeter DJ Rap (=Toaster=Sprechsänger) überzeugt er sowohl auf rootsigen wie auch auf harten Dancehall-Produktionen. Im rootsigen „Bonx it pon Me“ wirbt er für sich selbst als „Helfer in der Not“: Frauen, die unter Sex-Entzug leiden, werden von ihm nicht im Stich gelassen. Statt auf Machismo macht er dabei auf Humor.

Skarra Mucci now known and hailed as the hottest live dancehall artist in Europe. After a string of recording, featuring and dubplates on local and international scene and charts, he is ready to take over. The Jamaican born Skarra Mucci started out like many other jamaican musician at a very young age. Like many children, he grew up with a very strickt grandmother in Sandy Gutt District St-Cathrine. He ran away from home at the age of nine to a dance played by Volcono Sound feat. King Yellow Man, Little Harry and more, with the intention to become a star. Luckily they gave him the mic and he was staring the show. The boss decided that he could ride with them, but shortly after Spanish Town the box boys started making jokes of him, so he hop off the sound truck in Central Village. Knowing no one but as a friendly and brave child he started to make friends. He worked and lived in White Mall Area of Central Village, as Little D with Gong Sound where he met Jah B and Torpedo Sound. He was moving from Central Village to Kingston White Hall Area. Torpedo was based in St Mary so he was spending a lot of time in Salt Spring St Mary with selector Senator D, Junior Demos, Glen Pope and Little Harry. After he returned to Kingston where he worked with a lot of Sounds like Play Mate Disco, Stereo One, Small Axe, Daddy Roots, Youthman Promotion ect.
1985 – He attended an audision of many DJ and Singers he was chosen. Skarra Mucci at the age of 12 recorded under the name Little D his first single on Harry J’s label (The Millionear).
At the end of 1985 he linked up with Black Solidarity Records, Tristan Palmers, Assi and Philip Frazer. They gave him the name Skarra Mucci that he did not like at first. He recorded 1986 in Tuff Gong Studios his second and third single “Bow Out” and “Gimmi Loving” . These songs can be found worldwide on Black Soledarity Samplers produced by Tuff Gong Records.
1986 till 1988 – He was spending time with a friend called Terence in Kentyer where he met the brother of Horace and JunJun or Joe who interduced him to Major Makrell and many more. In Tavern Brigadeare Jerry and Sista Nancy so he met round heard as selector on a sound called Ninja with General B in Tavern. On this same sound he met the Prophet Capleton the first time when someone says to him: “Give him a chat he is a good DJ from St Mary!” In this time he was having a lot of live shows with Exodus Nuclear and was touring sometimes with Shabba Ranks, Mad Cobra, Risto, Benji, Bounty Killer, all managed by the label called “Specs Specialist and Bankie”.
After September 1988 he went to a dance with Traveller Soundsystem to Hanover Western Part of Jamaica, and got stucked with Stereo Mix Soundsystem until the end of 1989. He won a Carib Beer Contest against Daddy Rings and about ten others. He was then after a star. Performing every night with a different star like Yellow Man, Beenie Man, Shine Head, Dennis Brown, Singing Melody, Bunny General.
Then 1991 he joined up with Marvelous, a singer from Savana la Mar as a succesful duet.
In december 1992 he linked up with King Stone Records. They made him a deal of four song singles and a album later. After recording two songs in Kingston Jamaica, King Stone decided to do the rest of recordings in Europe. That was exciting.
In march 1993 he landed in Europe. Three months of hard studio work on a album called “African Children”. In this time he met bands like Dread Colours, Ganglords and had some shows.
In April 1994 King Stone Records, Dread Colours band and Klang & Hammer Studios brought Skarra Mucci back to Europe.
Klang & Hammer wanted some samples and vocals. Eddie Hoffler, owner of Klang & Hammer was working with Steve B at this time. Dread Colour wanted a lead singer and King Stone was take care of the business. They had a five years contract with Skarra Mucci and were responsible for the promotion and marketing.
In summer 1995 Skarra Mucci toured with King Yellow Man, Down Beat Sound, Jah Shakka from London. After the selector of Downbeat got him a link in Berlin with Tricki’s Recordings, doing some crossover with Ragga Fränkie and others. At the same time he was working with Ganglords as special guest singer.
In spring 1996 Dread Colours recorded an album with Skarra Mucci as lead singer. This album never was released because the band brake up after.
Skarra Mucci started a soundsystem playing Black Music and dancehall but Ganglords needed a lead singer to present their new album sampler “Burning up”. He decided to do it. Herbal Q, a member of Ganglords interduced him to a member of Sendak, who was making a debu album and needed a singer. They recorded two singles with Skarra Mucci “Move on” and the title track of the album “Rimes after Rimes” (a remake of Dolly Partner “Times after Times”) which hit the charts in swisserland with a smash.
1997 till 1998 – Skarra Mucci recorded three singles feat. 4Tune, a swiss girl group. “Higher Higher”, for One Ton Rec., released in Jamaica on Soljie label and “Free for d’ amour”.
1998 till 2000 Skarra Mucci started to perform with Sounds like Fred and Barney aka Renegade Muzik, David Rodigan and many more. Skarra Mucci recorded, performed and worked with artists out of the european scene like General Levy, Mr. Gentleman, Spezialistz, D Flame, Marlon B, Patrice, etc.
2000 - Skarra Mucci recorded a new single with Sendak “Cause I need it”, that was released in 2001 on the album “Hattricks”. With the group De Phazz he recorded the song “Jump over”, and with Andrue Murphy two other songs called “Rest your hand on my shoulder” and “Root operator”. Skarra Mucci was also seen on Chiemsee Reggae Summer 2000 with PowPow movement and 2001 with Massive B and Fred and Barney. Not to forget Skarra Mucci is every year since 1996 active and present at Summer Jam, played together with Aswad and others. Since 2000 with South Connection.
2001 - Skarra Mucci is working with DeeBuzz Soundsystem, Root Down Records and KSKamp Records and had a lot of shows and studio sessions.
In Jan 2002 Skarra Mucci recorded “Still yet” with Spooman and Shape. The video was No 3 in swiss charts. Skarra Mucci is now in studio mixing his album with First step aka VirseTillety, Beat Schmieder, Rootdown Records and DeeBuzz Soundsystem.
