6/13/09 Skatepark Design Work Shop to generate design ideas for a skatepark in Roosevelt Park
The Skatepark of Baltimore has partnered with the Parks and People Foundation, the Community Greening Resource Network and the Maryland Cooperative Extension to hold an interactive workshop on Saturday June, 13th 2009, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Roosevelt Recreation Center 1121 W. 36th St. Baltimore MD 21211 to generate design ideas for a skatepark in Roosevelt Park. The workshop will cover elements of the design process, such as site analysis, goals and programming to help participants refine design ideas for community spaces. The selected example site will include practice-generating ideas for a skatepark envisioned by the Skatepark of Baltimore.

6/14/09 SOB Monthly Open Public Meeting of Volunteers 5pm at Ruintown
The SOB monthly open public meeting of volunteers will be at Ruintown this Sunday, 6/14/09 at 5pm at a new private DIY skate-themed warehouse. Call for details. 410 916 5570. We are an entirely volunteer based organization and we need your support. Meetings involve logistical planning and skating, bring a board.

6/17/09 SOB meeting with Senator Catherine Pugh (D)
The SOB will be meeting with State Senator Catherine Pugh to brief her on our organization’s progress and goals and discuss certain aspects of the project’s funding.
6/20/09 and 6/21/09 SOB and GRO (Girl Rider Organization) present a Girls skate Weekend
The Skatepark of Baltimore has partnered with GRO Girl Rider Organization to plan a weekend full of girl skate-themed events in Baltimore and DC.
Saturday-DAY 6/20/09 Girls Skate workshop at Migration Skatepark, 12pm to 3pm
On Saturday the 20th, from 12pm to 3pm GRO will hold a girl skate workshop at Migration Skatepark located at 2203A Commerce Lane Unit 3 Forest Hill MD 21050. Please join us and check out Migration’s new home.
Saturday-NIGHT 6/20/09 Girl’s Skate Pajama Jammie Jam, 9pm to 2am
ul>SOB has partnered with GRO to bring you a “Girl’s Skate Party”, with the Rock and Roll Divas of Discontent. Join us, Saturday the 20th, from 9pm to 2am for a girl powered rock show, skate, and Pajama Jammie Jam at Fightclub DC, Blagden Alley, 9th st. and M st N.W., Washington DC. FREE for girls $5.00 for guys, 21+. Featuring: Thee Lexington Arrows, Omega Band and DJ Akshun Jackson. Expect girls skating, girl fronted bands, outdoor girl skate movies and popcorn.

5/13/09 Carroll Park Clean up and Painting

5/30/09 “Carving for the Cure" A downhill Race to Benefit Cancer Research
An awesome downhill Race to Benefit Cancer Research on Saturday, May 30 on Forge Hill Rd, Belair MD. Half of the proceeds went towards cancer research the other half was awarded to the top riders.
Thanks to: Eric Smith, Mike Buckley, Mel at Stalefish and all of the other sponsors. Props to the participants and their families and friends for coming out to Maryland and getting involved in our scene!
