SKAville festival is an international music festival which promotes ska music, and all its variations. The aim of the festival is to promote bands and performers in Croatia and abroad who through their work promote ska rhythms, and thus also ska music. Ska is a form of jamaican music which combines elements of menta, calypso, American jazz and rhytm 'n' blues.
The goal of Skaville Festival is to expand ska tunes throughout Croatia and southwestern Europe (part of the ex Yugoslavia / Balkans), to increase the popularity and importance of ska bands and provide a true pleasure to all ska music fans to enjoy those few days of the year in ideal conditions with ideal music.
Fullness of sound expressed through a multitude of specific instruments such as trumpet, trombone, saxophone, keyboard and etc. makes ska music a mighty combination of marvellous dance tunes..
Association K.V.A.R.K. and the Culture Club from Krizevci established the joint co-operation with the Association of Maslina from Krk, so 3. Skaville Festival will be held on the island of Krk, more precisely in bay Voz, near Krk Bridge.
LOCATION:
The festival will last two days, the dates are 24. and 25.07. 2009. (Friday and Saturday) in the bay Voz on the island of Krk in Croatia.

-- Cost per day is 100 kuna (cca 14e)

Skaville Festival is located in the beautiful bay Voz (municipalities Omisalj) on the island of Krk, close to the Adriatic sea and the beach, with a forested landscape that does not hinders local residents.
Just 15 minutes from Rijeka, Krk is connected with Rijeka by the bridge (Krcki most), the location is ideal traffic associated with Italy, Slovenia (Ljubljana – Rijeka highway- / 2-3h) and the interior of Croatia (Zagreb - Rijeka/3h).

Nakon Stillnessa i njihovog nastupa u Domu sportova ispred 10 000 ljudi, na red su došli genijalci iz Antenata koji su u zagrebačkom klubu Boogaloo napravili koncert za pamćenje.
