One of the nation's premier Irish-American bands, Skelpin'...Gaelic for a slap or a spank...has been known to drive strong men and women to uncontrollable bouts of foot twitching and hand clapping with its strong, rollicking sounds, leaving the crowd screaming for more.
Fiddler, Patric Petrie, the group's acknowledged "wild Irish rose," sets the pace for the group with her driving, lyrical style joined by dynamo Tim Foley on Vocals, Guitar, Uilleann Pipes (and everything but the kitchen sink). Keeping the music moving on Bass and adding ethereal sounds on Electric Guitar is Wes Forsberg. With the addition of internationally recognized Latin Percussionist Enrique Platas, and Flamenco/Gypsy Jazz guitarist Jimmy Patton, winner of the Guitar Center - Guitarmageddon's "Best Unsigned Guitarist in the Nation", Skelpin' performs hard driving Irish and world sounds fused with a generous dose of Celtic flair and American romantic soul.
