    A fresh, fast and funny interactive hip hop game show where speed drawing meets freestyle rapping to the sounds of a live band. Sketch The Rhyme is a multi-media hip hop extravaganza brought to you by the very best local talent that Sydney has to offer. Featuring silver-tongued MCs, a killer band and illustrators with the quickest draw in the inner west, this is certainly no standard musical theatre experience. Inspired by Mr Squiggle and Pictionary, this game-show-with-a-twist is made up of a series of playoffs between the artists and the rappers. The artists speed-sketch pictures relevant to a theme, topic or clue and project them onto a large screen for the rappers and audience to see. The MCs then freestyle their response in rhyme, whether its improvising a story, guessing the catch-phrase or trying to deduce the identity of the dead celebrity drawn before them. The audience plays the vital role of judging the rounds – their cheers letting the rappers know they've guessed correctly. To accompany the awesome display of wit and talent are the sounds of the Sketch The Rhyme house band who turn every show into a party with the freshest live hip hop beats. Sketch The Rhyme has performed at a number of major festivals and events including Melbourne Fringe Festival, Peats Ridge Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, Oxford Art Market, Smart Arts and Culture Connect. Crossing the borders of hip hop, visual arts, comedy and theatre has enabled this 12-piece group to perform to and impress all kinds of crowds with their dynamic and entertaining show. At each Sketch The Rhyme show you can expect to witness the verbal prowess of MCs Rapaport (Loose Change / The Phonies), P Smurf (Daily Meds) and Jeswon (Thundamentals) on the microphones while illustrators Claire Nakazawa, Jason Howe, Pauly G (Duckman), Mie Nakazawa, and Sam Clouston wield their pens with cunning poise. The live band features musicians from local Sydney groups The Phonies, Svelt and (lampy's band?) making Sketch The Rhyme one of the most innovative, engaging and hilarious live shows to come out of Sydney in recent years. Its distinctive energy comes from the excitement of improvised art and words, making each night different from the next, and an experience not to be missed.
