About me: PUT YOUR ABOUT ME SECTION HERE!
The Ski and Snowboard Club at Sacramento State is a school organization that focuses on maximizing the opportunity for people to meet new friends and enjoy outdoor activities. The club consists of skiers and snowboarders of all ages, skill levels, ethnicities and backgrounds and we are continually searching and recruiting new members. The club provides weekly activities, a cabin in Tahoe for members and their friends & family to use during the winter, discounts at many local stores and shops, and the opportunity to travel on our annual winter trip. This year, our trip is Breckingridge, Colorado from January 6th-11th. Along with our annual trip abroad, we also offer local bustrips. Last year we offered a bustrip to Sugarbowl and we plan to offer more trips to expand your mountain palite.
Our club has the largest budget of any club at CSUS. Thats why we are relatively affordable and offer many outlets for fun activites. We are able to do so with one fundraiser: The Sac State Ski Swap. Venders from all over California meet at our swap to offer goods at reasonable prices. You can also sell your used gear. You can also buy your season pass at your favorite mountain at their specific tent.

Anyone and everyone that loves the snow and outdoors. The club is open to the public, and isn't only for students. We have student members, alumni, and people from the public involved in the club. We have students from other schools in the area, including Sac City, American River, Sierra, and othe colleges just name a few. We have weekly meetings every Thursday at 7:30 PM in the Hinde Auditorium in the Union building, located on the CSUS campus. At the meetings members are informed of upcoming events and trips, are able to win prizes in our weekly raffles, and are able to post pictures of their recent outdoor outings on our weekly slideshow. Also, each week a different local store or shop comes to the meeting to give a brief presentation promoting their store, sometimes giving great discounts, coupons and free gear to our members.

So many people still don't understand Riverboarding. We do not use a boat to travel upstream at 30+ mph. Riverboarding is powered by a bungee system that slingshots you upstream. You use the river current to stretch the bungee. Once the bungee is done pulling, it releases from the board allowing you to do many boardsport tricks. Once your ride is done, float back downstream to the end of the bungee, hook the board to the bungee, stretch it and ride again. Surf all day long! I am still getting Emails asking how to hook the board to the boat. www. BANSHEERIVERBOARDS. COM
